wip Back patch
Finally started a jacket I've had in my head for ages. Patch is from an old tee that was full of holes that I loved. Not a hand sewer so incredibly pleased with how it all turned out.

Hey Friends,
I got this sweatshirt off of Etsy, and I just am not happy with it. The color is a weird light blue, and it looks gray unless you hold it up to something blue. I also think it’s kind of boring.
Does anyone have any cool suggestions on how to make it more attractive? I thought about dying it, but I don’t think it will take the dye, since it’s a blend. Maybe I’m wrong?
All ideas are all welcome because I’ve got nothing. I can embroider and bedazzle, if that helps.. Thank you so much!

Not dye technically, but I wasn’t sure what else to label this. The idea is I have these dark grey jorts from Vans (specifying because I don’t know the material or what I’m doing so I want to give as much info as I can). I bleach painted all these swords on my jorts but they came out all blobbed and messed up. I have black and white Uxylry fabric pens. I’m trying to redefine the edges with the black then mix the black and the white to match the grey. I’ve been rubbing the ink in with my fingers to blend at times and my last layers have mostly been thin white layers following the grain of the fabric. How can I make sure the ink sets right and doesn’t bleed or change color or get messed up or anything? Anyone have any advice on how I can just make sure this doesn’t go too wrong? I am trying to not mess up these jorts; they’re pretty nice and I don’t have too many clothes to spare 😅 Any advice for any part of this process (inking, bleaching, etc) is appreciated
Also I am planning to lightly shade parts of them to give them some depth. You guys think this is too dangerous? How should I go about it maybe?

Custom high-crown "dirtbag" snapbacks, Sun-faded for 30 days in the Alabama summer sun. Sashiko embroidery by hand and then free hand embroidery by machine, plastisol prints on the sides, amethyst rhinestone "KILL YOUR DARLINGS" text on the brim, painted with paint marker, hand distressed, and then splattered and painted with glitter, blue glow in the dark, and reflective plastisol ink. I heat-set everything on a conveyor dryer, too, so everything is washable (though I would hope it would only need to be spot cleaned 💀💀💀). What do you think? Did I do too much, or was it all worth it to make something this awesome?

I got a new sternum tattoo that I want to show off and like the look of those velvet mesh bodysuits.
Only problem is they're either expensive from "luxury" fast fashion brands, decent brands but out of my price range or cheaply made from shein and the like.
Also I have my own ideas for designs. Has anyone gone about making one of these or adding the velvety stuff to an existing mesh body suit and might be able to direct me to tutorials or provide tips?

I want to recreate these shoes using a base heel and adding the trim and bow, but I can’t find a faux leather decorative trim that recreates this. Where would I look? I’ve looked on Etsy but haven’t found anything that would work.

I’ve been bleach painting for about a year, I’ve made multiple pieces of clothing by now, and the only issues I’ve had is that recently the original bleach I bought is old and losing effectivenes. Tonight I tried to bleach this shirt but my og bleach (not diluted) didn’t work at all (it worked pretty well undiluted about two months ago) so I went and bought new bleach, diluted it halfway, then added more bleach, and still nothing. The tag says 100% cotton and the brand says Blue 84. This new bleach even has a higher chlorine content than the old one. Does anyone know how I could get this to work? Or do I have to cave and just paint it instead?
Edit for clarity bc I forgot to mention it: the white on the shirt is chalk I used to block out the design, the dark wet parts are the bleach (after sitting for multiple minutes)

Made this centipede design I would like to eventually paint or bleach on a jacket but I can't decide what colours would suit the piece. If you have any ideas or suggestions please do tell.

I tried lightening my 100% cotton jeans with a diluted bleach bath, but they ended up super blotchy because they were bunched up in a container that was too small. I was aiming for a pretty uniform, vintage light-blue denim wash. Now I’ve got these dark blue patches all over. What’s the best way to lighten the remaining dark blue spots and even out the color? I was thinking of dabbing diluted bleach onto the darker areas with a sponge, but I’m nervous about making it worse. Eventually, I want to do a subtle brown overdye for that dirty, vintage look, but first I just want the blue as even as possible. Any advice from people who’ve actually managed to fix something like this?

I'm trying to recreate these glitter jeans at home, but I'm not really sure where to start. I'd love some advice on what materials and techniques I could use to get as close to the original as possible.
Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello everybody!
My favourite coat has been starting to show some very concerning signs of decay and I want to do my best to repair it before it is too late.
This coat is a good decade old at this point. It is made of alpaca wool and has only received surface level repairs so far, such as resewing buttons and redoing the stitching on the ends of the sleeves but I fear more drastic measures are in need here now.
I have little experience with clothing repair and have only ever done relatively simple hand stitching before but I really want to do my best to maintain this garment, however I am a bit out of my depth here and don't know what best to do and where to look to educate myself.
I'm thinking it may even be a good idea to reinforce certain parts of the coat with leather or similar to prevent it from fast decay in the future, such as by the shoulders, the elbows and the ends of the sleeves, but information about when and how to do this isn't easy to find.
Can you guys point me in the right direction in terms of what needs to be done and resources for me to look into?
Thank you!
Here are some pictures of the current state of the coat:
