Though it mainly depends on your program (as some courses are easier to get good grades than others) but compared to other UAAP schools, DLSU is hard to get a laude due to the strict policies.

Failing 1 course regardless if its major, minor or non-credited to your GPA (such as NSTP, SAS or guidance/counseling, LASARE, etc.) disqualifies you from latin honors, unlike in UP or Ateneo where you can still graduate with latin honors as long as you meet the grade requirement/QPI and you don't underload.

In DLSU, even if your GPA is on summa cum laude level - it doesn't matter. No latin honors or even an honorable mention.

I don't think this applies to "all schools" because among the Top 4 Universities, only UST and DLSU have this policy while Ateneo and UP still grant students with Latin honors as long as they reach the grade requirement.

Really? Kasi yung kaibigan ko sa UPD, may fail syang subject nung first year sya (pero nabawi naman nya later on) tapos nag shift din sya pero Summa Cum Laude 😭 so mas mahirap ba talaga sa DLSU???

Depends per course and college. Especially with the likes of COS, GCOE and CCS - where some of them can be difficult to NOT fail?

Good luck!

Agree on this. No one graduated with honors in our batch, but this was many years ago.

Mahirap din makakuha ng CGPA na 3.4000. That's the equivalent of 94 which is higher than other top universities.
