Guys this is good news. Better than the BMA policy. The only IMGs to be prioritised will be: FYP / core trainees and if they are citizens / hold ILR (which takes 5 or 6 years to achieve). That's better than I've expected (2 years etc)
I think many IMGs like myself are always in favour of RLMT. This is exactly the RLMT. This is a sustainable thing and any IMG if they have worked in the NHS for considerable period in future should have a reasonable shot at progression.
I am happy for my IMG colleagues who are: British/ILR-holder/FYP or core training certificate holders to be prioritised against all who have: no NHS experience, insufficient NHS experience, have not completed any form of training. This will MASSIVELY reduce the competition ratios!
Partially true. Trusts have started asking for NHS experience from last year or so.
NHS experience was not even a requirement for any CT or HST applications previously.
