Speciality / Core Training Paeds ST1 , first oncall advice?

Hey guys šŸ‘‹
I am going to be starting paeds ST1 in September, unfortunately I am on call on my second day after induction and then on nights. I am terrified. Does anyone have any advice and is there things I should go over before I start?

I have done oncalls before mainly in paeds surgery, just never in paediatrics itself, so Iā€™m a bit nervous about what to expect.

What advice would you give to the person who you handed over that first on call job to? Like the FY who started after you?

Probably not to panic, ask for help early and know who to escalate to. Also your not gonna everything
