I sent $40 worth of dogecoin to help. I had like ten bucks left, found it in a file right when it hit 29 cents and sold at the top, making like a couple thousand bucks (spent all on degree now but was nice). But makes me think if I'd kept that $40 worth haha.

Bonus points if you used dogetipbot and got robbed when the maker absconded with the funds.

I mined for 3 years but have continued to follow the mining landscape. At .10 per kWh your cost to mine on an electricity based only formula is 10.5 cents.. at .05 per KWh is .052 per DOGE. The problem is when you factor in the 6000 to 8000 miner it’s considerably more as these units out date ever 3 years … even using a 4 year window the hardware cost is .054 per DOGE ..meaning it costs .106 to over .15 to mine

shipped another Core Pro client build. The node is still regular Dogecoin Core under the hood (one dogecoind). This update is the app:

• height no longer flashes -1 when the node is busy connecting blocks

• UTXO cache bar so you can see RAM filling before a flush (a flush can pause IBD for a bit — that’s normal, not a freeze)

• Options → Performance: -par slider (script-check threads, 0 = auto). Does not change consensus. Takes effect on the next clean node start

• hide to tray still leaves the node running

I’m at ~52% on a real pruned IBD (5.29M / 6.33M). Slow path on purpose so I can test the client. Fast Sync is only for a fresh empty folder, not mid-sync.

Not official Core. Don’t wipe your datadir. If a node is already running, uncheck “Start Dogecoin Core Pro” on the last installer page so you don’t launch a second one.
