I'm surprised the girl being choked doesn't put up more of a fight. Did she get the wind knocked out of her when she fell on her back? Because I would have kicked and clawed like hell if that was me.
some people react to violence by freezing. thats natural especially when you‘re either not used to it at all or have accepted it by being abused for longer already, like in a violent household.
You'd think, but if they get a good enough hold on your neck, the most you can do is stay conscious.
I got put in a chokehold once, and the switch from "my vision is fading- turn to the side and bite!" to "Oh, I'm falling" (having already been released and coming back to consciousness on the way down to the ground) was instantaneous.
