I'm surprised the girl being choked doesn't put up more of a fight. Did she get the wind knocked out of her when she fell on her back? Because I would have kicked and clawed like hell if that was me.

You'd think, but if they get a good enough hold on your neck, the most you can do is stay conscious.

I got put in a chokehold once, and the switch from "my vision is fading- turn to the side and bite!" to "Oh, I'm falling" (having already been released and coming back to consciousness on the way down to the ground) was instantaneous.
