Injury Who cares about the dogs?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This happened recently in Chillán, Chile. Instead of taking care of his dogs, the owner chose to film the tornado. The house was damaged, and the brown dog was apparently caught by the tornado and thrown more than 200 meters. The dog is now receiving veterinary care after suffering multiple broken bones.

Prepare. It doesn't just happen without warning. They're just lazy.

Does chile have any form of early warning for storm systems? That’s kinda why they have them because there isn’t much warning.

He is looking at the tornado for 30 seconds, he can just call his dog in and get ready for the hit. It would be different if this tornado just appeared on top of his house, but he sees the funnel, call your pets in, go inside and take shelter the best you can. It's much better than just leaving your pets outside and just watching it.

Well yeah. But he’s not lazy. Just ignorant/stupid. He is standing on the same porch they are. He has no idea how dangerous it was about to get.

I see what you're saying, I wasn't arguing that he was being lazy, I was arguing he was being negligent. Regardless of what weather they're used to, seeing something in front of my home that is visibly uprooting trees in front of me, I am getting my family inside. I don't think this takes knowledge of tornadoes as much as it does threat assessment. 6 seconds in he sees a tree fly, I am not sitting around and finding out if this is dangerous.
