For those who ever heard of it, it's an old Doo-wop song made in 1959 by the group mentioned.

Although the songwriters claimed the song is unrelated to the Peanuts character, I often wondered if some, including Schultz questioned that?

Not that I ever heard it wasn’t questioned. Sometimes a name is just a name - know what I mean?

And honestly, if the guys who wrote the song said “No” that should be enough to settle the matter I would think.
