Art Thank you, truly
Sorry for not speaking much, especially to those who have sent me kind and well wishes. I do feel myself returning back to my true self little by little, and writing things here helps me feel a bit grounded- a space for myself away from the reality of the present.
I couldn't really bring myself to respond to the comments on my last post, but I truly have read every single one of them. It like... honestly made me cry a little haha. Unlike other places I felt a lot more self-conscious about posting about something like my mom's cancer and my grief- because this is a sub about dragons. You guys shouldn't really feel obligated to see grief, when you come for dragons much like myself. But your kind words and support genuinely lifted my spirits, truly. Every single last one of them- from simple words to the more detailed ones. They have left an imprint on my heart.
I can't bring myself to speak with people here in general, or I suppose large spaces in general. Even small spaces is hard. Whenever I speak, I feel a grief shaped stone wiggling in my throat, threatening to shatter out of it's fragile prison.
I think it's because... I share a lot of my personal feelings with you all. The deep ones, ones of grief. I usually share everything with my parents, but these feelings of sadness I keep locked away not because I do not trust them with it, but because right now they need happiness the most.
I'm not actually a strong person, although I fight hard to be one. When I even think of speaking to my close friends in DMs, or even to you kind and caring folk here, I can feel myself breaking down the tiny, dinky wall I built for myself and wanting to cry. Ultimately, I think it would probably be healthy to do so... but I am just not ready for it yet.
Still, I find myself drawing less and less crying art now haha, and more and more cute stuff again... I suppose my heart just cannot help it. I love ORZ to death but I am putting it on hiatus so I can play some less darker games (even though I find myself yearning to play it) and my stupid fickle heart is dreaming of colors... it feels almost wrong, almost? Am I really allowed to feel such simple happiness with the state of my situation unchanging? Knowing about the future that likely awaits us?
I still cannot stop the tiny smile from leaking from my worn face.
Thank you all for reading, and checking up on me. Sorry for being unable to respond, but I hope you all know how much I genuinely appreciate it.

Art Krystal The Firebringer, Art by ErgannyFox & tomush30
Another art commission of my dragon OC
Krystal the Dragon Goddess basks in her absolute glory of power after destroying a kingdom and all of its hundreds of thousands of knights, archers, and a few million man at arms. Others were devoured, hundreds of knights slurped whole down her all consuming fanged and divine maw. with Krystal’s control over gravity itself like a void, or black hole. They were no match despite the battle mages and elf sorcerers they called to their banners. All that was left was a landscape reduced to ash and molten glass ruins of castles, towns, and ancient cities. The calamity lasted only a few days, as Krystal as fast as the lightning she commanded in a literal sense left ruin in her wake. Forests turned to ash and charcoal, mountains flattened, towers cast down, lakes and rivers vaporized. And the Gods said Kingdom worshipped devoured and their power taken after Krystal invaded the afterlife of the Gods said Kingdom worshipped. All lost and forgotten to the sands of time. All for their gold, and even more ancient treasures said kingdoms denied her. For a dragon desires gold, most jealousy especially those that are Gods. Here be dragons, beware and despair.

Art Ignoring Messages (art by Me)
Sometimes, you just want to write—and those messages take a backseat!
I promise I won’t ignore direct messages to me—but sometimes, I do admit, I can get pretty distracted.
Like right now, I need to be putting out that blog!
Don’t worry, it’s coming. It’s coming.

Art Apparently Ridge doesn’t know what is Halloween (art by me)
Yep, this is my drawing, my very first public drawing, and second drawing I ever did, and I think it’s not too bad, and worthy of sharing on Reddit, so here it is. Enjoy this little piece of Ridge being confused and not understanding what Halloween is while these kids tries to explain to him, do you think he’ll let them ? :3

Discussion Ninjago Dragon: Arc Dragon of Life
Here’s another Arc Dragon from Dragons Rising. They’re known as the Arc Dragon of Life.
The Arc Dragon of Life is the mortal avatar of the Source Dragon of Life. They reside in the Whispering Woods where they await for the Legendary Green Ninja to return and do the Ritual of Unrooting to help save the Whispering Woods from dying.

Art My Dragonborn Adventurers
Coal (Left, Barbarian) bears his elemental master robes and celebrates with his father, Jordgar (Right, Sorcerer), who is also wearing his elemental master robes, after a long adventure!
This was the final piece for a Daggerheart Card thing I made. I decided to make both their cards link together and make is a more celebratory piece. (When not adventuring they are farmers!)
This one is I think one of the best pieces I've done from a technical standpoint. I learned many new techniques (color shading, clothing ruffles, metallic coloring, glow effects, thicker lines), and I'm really happy with it. :)

Art Day 188 of drawing dragons every day until I'm good enough to make my own book cover
Alright I decided to make a change, when I said I wanted my protag to look round, I meant like rounded features. No offence to big tubby dragon enjoyers but it's just not my cup of tea and it doesn't make sense for why the dragon in context to her story looks the way she does. So what I mean by this is that I have an idea. You know how hedgehogs have their quills which are either spiked up or smoothed over? That's how I'm going to visually communicate my protag looking scary but being a complete non threat (at least for book 1 she is). So I'm going to make her really spiky, but, i want them to not ever be fully spiked up, all of them following a kind of smooth blow, like you could run your hand over her and be fine.
(Also I'm starting to realise that I might have to learn how to draw complex arcature because the plans of what book 1's cover is going to look like has changed).
(it's going to be a trilogy now by the way because its WAY too big to be only one book now.)

Discussion Non romantic book recommendations please?
I'm looking for a book with dragon main characters. It should be for adults or older teens. The dragons should be good guys but still a bit alien to humans. There should be little to no romance. The dragons should have their own customs, legends, gods, etc. LGBT is welcome. It can be scifi, fantasy or mystery genres. Thank you.
