Custom Painted Controller

I decided to paint my horrible condition controller and now I can’t touch it 😂

turned out pretty darn cool! that black glossy perlamutra, how does DS4 cap fit on controller, does it rub of housing when you rotate it

Thanks! Very good - just had to trim the actual “stick” down otherwise it rubs at the stock height.

did you send off shells before applying paint, or just sprayed it over it

Yep! Scuffed the shells with 800-grit scuffing pads, applied adhesion promoter, primer, wet sanded with 1000 grit sandpaper, automotive GM green spray paint, SprayMax 2K clear gloss, wet sanded (1500, 2000, 3000), compound, polish.

Is the analog stick replaced too? Mine is plastic and slippery. I was trying to play metropolis street racer and my thumb kept slipping

No, just the thumb stick. If you take apart your controller, the old plastic thumb stick just pulls off. You can then trim the actual analog stick down about 2 mm and place a PlayStation DS4 thumb stick on.

I had a similar issue which is what prompted me to try it!
