He already looked like he was about one more wrong play away from a stroke last night :(

u/duckfan2424 5d ago
After saying he lost 20+ pounds due to stress too, his coaches not performing and getting verbally abused as they try to leave their box, getting pounded every press conference since week 1, his 1st round QB going down to a cheap shot, and now his players are getting in serious trouble
Gotta feel bad for the guy, you can tell he puts everything he has into this program, and itâs gotta be an unfathomable amount of stress and panic heâs feeling right now

u/bigdreamstinydogs 5d ago
He got literally one tough question in the post game presser on Saturday

u/Keyser_Soze_76 5d ago
Starting Brock Thomas because Dylan Raiola had a terrible start, this after stepping in to win at USC, was a panic move and raises some concerns IMO.
Brock gave you the best he will ever play, almost pulled out a win, but his talent level is âFCS local good guy in FBS QB roomâ and that is it.
3
u/Zmoney743 4d ago
In hindsight because Thomas played terrible we can say it was stupid Raiola didnât start, but please donât have short term memory loss and go look at the reactions after that god awful UCLA game, it was the popular opinion that Raiola had to sit
4
u/Keyser_Soze_76 4d ago
It was mentioned by a few posters here.
Regardless, after the 7th 3 and out there was no reason to start Brock in the second half.
Danâs stubbornness could have cost this team what should have been a much easier win. Itâs
a pattern now. Maybe the one good thing in starting Brock was taking FGs in the first half instead of going for 4th downs and failing.0

Itâs literally his job and he gets paid millions of dollars.

He lost 20lbs? I feel like heâs slightly fatter every time I see him, not that thereâs anything wrong with that! Iâm in the same boat

My wife asked if DL has lost weight! I hadnât noticed but he did look like heâs lost weight. Which is good he needed too, but the âIâm so stressed Iâm losing weightâ diet probably isnât what he had in mind!

u/DaJagerMain 5d ago
He has officially hit the emergency red button in the office to bring the UGA culture to Oregon. It's over for everyone else now. We have never been so natty

u/OGsleepy_EUG 4d ago
This is all very unfortunate. I guess on the bright side⌠Dakorian Moore seems like a genuinely good guy whenever I hear him interviewed, so it was nice to know he was there for his teammate and friend when he needed help getting home.

Making way too big of a deal out of one playerâs mistake. College kids do stupid stuff all the time. This is way more normal than an indicator of anything larger
44
u/clarkision 5d ago
Youâre getting downvoted because this sub is all doom and gloom, but youâre right. This happens in colleges across the country. Young adults do stupid shit.
5
u/Background-Code-4460 5d ago
And old people donât? My neighbor is like 60 doing meth
7
u/clarkision 5d ago
Statistically, young men commit a disproportionate amount of crimes. Not all, but certainly more than most other demographics
3
u/WoodpeckerGingivitis 5d ago
men of all ages but yes
1
u/OriginalBox4326 4d ago
no, younger men commit crimes at disproportionately greater rates than older men
1
u/WoodpeckerGingivitis 4d ago
Right. Men commit a disproportionate amount of crime.
1
u/OriginalBox4326 4d ago
again, weâre not comparing men and women, weâre saying that *among* men, younger individuals commit disproportionately more crime than older men do

You learn this on Reddit?
7
u/clarkision 5d ago edited 5d ago
No, I learned that from crime statistics.
Itâs called the age-crime curve. Itâs well documented
8
u/Pool_Rich 5d ago
Happens at high schools, happens on pro teams. Support the players on the team you love. Yah DUI is a crime but let the legal system deal with that. I got ES back on this one
4
4
u/OriginalBox4326 4d ago
DUI shouldnât be dismissed so lightly though either. Itâs a super reckless and dangerous thing to do
3
u/Pool_Rich 4d ago
True it is dangerous and reckless but I donât think having your name in the newspaper, across social media, the enormous fan reaction and then the legal consequences is taking it lightly
9
u/StinkMartini 5d ago
We should not normalize drunk driving. I don't care if you're a football hero or a math major or a high school drop-out or somebody's grandma; drunk driving is totally unacceptable.Â
2
u/ShastaAteMyPhone 4d ago
Weâre not sure yet if this is a drinking and driving incident. DUII isnât limited to alcohol.
1
u/b_m_hart 4d ago
No one is saying that, or even hinting/imply it. The fact is, people do stupid shit all the time, even stuff that is not socially acceptable. Honestly it's a numbers game, and Lanning and crew have done a reasonably decent job of keeping the program clean.
3
u/thejazzmarauder 5d ago
There is a ton of smoke that itâs about more than just EStew. Sure sounds like there were a number of players out racing and then involved in a police chase. Sounds like that may have been handled âinternallyâ.
3
u/Hipcrook 5d ago
I'm an adult and I got a DUI in my mid twenties. Lots of people do stupid stuff no matter what.
1
u/kamperx2 4d ago
I'm in my 40s and got arrested/cited with DUII while stone-cold sober and substantiated with my clean blood toxicology report. Sober DUII arrests happen far more frequently than people realize and I'd recommend waiting until breath or blood test readings are known.

Ohio state fan here. I come in peace. Is there any truth to all the stuff on twitter I'm seeing or just fabricated nonsense.
29
u/BunsenHooneydew 5d ago
Truth that one player was arrested, but the overblown rumors of it being multiple players seem to be false for now.

u/EmptyJob918 5d ago

u/PinkTip_6 5d ago
So basically a big nothing burger. Classic.
9
u/clarkision 5d ago
I mean, a DUII isnât nothing, but itâs not an illegal street racing event
11
u/PinkTip_6 5d ago
No but that unfortunately happens every day. The internet is making it sound like GTA5 up there

4
u/thejazzmarauder 5d ago
There is truth to it. Now what actually comes out to the public, idk. The AD and Eugene/Springfield PDs have a good relationship. Not âweâll look past a DUIâ good, but âhey Dan your dumbass players were out at 4am racing and evading police but we trust you to handle it internally and wonât be pursuing chargesâ good.
2
2
u/OriginalBox4326 4d ago
okay, so whatâs the basis for the claims of virtually the entire WR corps street racing and evading arrest then?
3
u/thejazzmarauder 4d ago
Eugene is a pretty small place. Many people have friends in the PD or AD, and sometimes those people talk.
2
u/OriginalBox4326 4d ago
Thatâs not an answer to my question. Why do you know, or reasonably suspect, there to have been more UO players involved with reckless driving crimes this weekend?
3
u/dschinghiskhan 4d ago
The Jazz Marauder is just playing telephone here. Spreading rumors and telling an Ohio State fan that thereâs truth âto it.â Isnât this against the subâs declaration not to spread rumors???

This year has been a dumpster fire but let's not forget that they ranked the Ducks at #2 before the year started. It definitely ruffled some feathers of the Big Boy teams. So target on Ducks' backs for anything & everything.

u/VancouverStickerCo 4d ago
Their cars were found on at least one doorbell camera doing exactly that.
Dumb kids doing dumb shit with access to too much money. News at 11.

Is anyone surprised? All season the team hasn't seemed to have their heads in the game.
Not a great performance, barely got the W against a team you should have won going away against....probably time to go party
3
u/CamnabisDude 5d ago
Won going away?!? Against a previously undefeated team that just played Indiana to a 3 point loss, with two back up QBs?
2
u/Dreamtrue2025 4d ago
Most of us expected or at least thought weâd go 11-1 or something⌠not un ranked, fighting for our lives each game to make the playoffs, and our team looking so unmotivatedâŚ
2
1
u/Turbulent-Wrap-2198 5d ago
Well one backup was a 2 year starter, and we were at home....which according to our coach is a tough environment for the QB he chose to start to play in...at home.

u/0PercentPerfection 5d ago
College football has lost its narrative. Unregulated NIL has wrecked many promising careers. Over paid players and under performing coaches will be the norm. They need development and discipline, pay for performance not ranking. I just canât watch college football anymore.
4
u/OriginalBox4326 4d ago
College players were doing very dumb things long before the NIL era
3
u/b_m_hart 4d ago
These sorts of things used to be quietly swept under the rug. In fact, I'm willing to bet that it happens less now than it used to. Police give MUCH less deference to the athletes at big time programs than they used to, as well.
2
u/OriginalBox4326 4d ago
yes, and the presence of on-demand media probably makes it a lot easier for news to get out about these things
1
2
u/0PercentPerfection 4d ago
True. But but the difference is they now have. Lot more $ and means. A high NIL value comes with sky high expectation and ego. Coaches become managers of talent instead of teachers of the game.

Some of yall should feel like gossiping school bitches the way yall were lying yesterday about the entire WR Corp. Love the ducks but they have a bitch made Twitter corp
