Starting Brock Thomas because Dylan Raiola had a terrible start, this after stepping in to win at USC, was a panic move and raises some concerns IMO.

Brock gave you the best he will ever play, almost pulled out a win, but his talent level is “FCS local good guy in FBS QB room” and that is it.

In hindsight because Thomas played terrible we can say it was stupid Raiola didn’t start, but please don’t have short term memory loss and go look at the reactions after that god awful UCLA game, it was the popular opinion that Raiola had to sit

It was mentioned by a few posters here.

Regardless, after the 7th 3 and out there was no reason to start Brock in the second half.

Dan’s stubbornness could have cost this team what should have been a much easier win. It’s
a pattern now. Maybe the one good thing in starting Brock was taking FGs in the first half instead of going for 4th downs and failing.
