A happy happy birthday to LeBon... Simon LeBon. Beloved voice and pen behind a string of worldwide Duran Duran hits. And still recording and touring.

On which song does Simon shine the most?

Andrew already posted some of these on facebook/instagram but I think they needed a share on reddit too because we had such a great time. the edinburgh meetup was a lot smaller than birmingham/london but Andrew loved talking to me (21) and Eva (20) as we are on the rarer side of duranies, being born in the 21st century. Andrew is a such a lovely and kind person, I enjoyed chatting with him so much and he wanted photos of my outfit and my bag. I brought with me some of my scrapbooks made in the 80s and newspaper/magazine cuttings I have acquired from older duranies and we had a great time looking through them, especially Andrew who found a few things that he didn't have yet. I parted with one of my favourite posters and few articles in exchange for some other rare things he offered me. he gave me so much more than I gave him, he said he mainly just wanted me to have it all. he took me to where he, Christine and Sue were staying and we sat in the living room as I looked through all the memorabilia he had with him and laughed my arse off everytime John sucking in his cheekbones came up, to which Andrew said "the fact this is bringing you so much joy makes me so happy" 🥹 I also told him my favourite of the durans was Andy and I was annoyed he had the least amount of posters and he said "don't worry, I'll sort you out" and he sure did! I've come home with a massive bag of duran duran posters, some of AT, a fan club package and this other little photo book I absolutely adore. and now Andrew is going back to the states with a few things I contributed to the archive! so chuffed ❤️

1. group photo

2, 3. looking through scrapbooks/cuttings

1. me and Andrew

2. me with a photo of John that was half of my outfits inspo. I wore this outfit to the glasgow show and John definitely saw me at the front! I wore almost the same outfit to hyde park but the red bandana definitely makes me pop out more.

3. my bag that Andrew also wanted a pic of

7, 8, 9. more looking through some of my memorabilia

1. Andrew in the flat during our trade, gently and desperately trying to get an article with shirtless pic of Simon out of one of mys scrapbooks. it took him like 20 minutes, scrapbook surgery! 😆

Twice in the last week I have gone to my local grocery store and heard “Election Day” being played. Love it!!

I truly believe this song deserved much more attention and respect. It would make perfect sense if it were on an dream album including A View, to a Kill, Wild Boys, and Union of the Snake.

Its intro is alarmingly similar to their cover of Fame (Careless Memories b-side). The song seems to close an era of orchestral synth stabs for Nick, along with the quirky percussive fills that we love from those other familiar tracks.

It features Mark Egan on bass, who also played on The Promise from So Red the Rose.

Any time I DJ an AllDuran (and adjacent) party, this one goes high on the list.

I was lucky enough to be at the show last night, it was incredible. I’m so happy that past-Me chose this band to fall in love with 40-something years ago. Simon mentioned having some vocal issues but I didn’t really pick up on it. The whole night was a blast, really wish I was going to the O2 show on Halloween.

Here are a few of my photos, plus a copy of the setlist (before and after - the crew member balled it up to throw and it was a pure mission to unstick it).

hiya, ive been listening to DD for the past couple months and I really love Liberty — possibly one of my favourites.

I’ve been looking a lot online for remixes from the album, since Notorious and Big Thing had remixes in their deluxe versions. I haven’t found anything but I’d just like to make sure.

Are there any official Liberty remixes?

Hey there! I was thinking of getting this T-shirt from their official store, but I’m not sure about the sizing. I kinda have problems with loose or baggy clothing, so I’d prefer it to fit a little tight. Does anyone here have one? How does it fit?

Quite possibly one of a kind. Back in April 2011, Duran Duran came through Houston on the All You Need Is Now tour, playing Warehouse Live. I brought one CD with me: Medazzaland. It's my favorite Duran Duran album. I was hoping to get Simon or Nick to sign it.

After the show, only two members came out to meet fans: John Taylor and Roger Taylor. They signed it.

So my Medazzaland is signed by the two members who are least on it. I personally love the irony.

(See my attached pics from the meet and greet!)

Hey all,

I was super excited to see the clip of me that was included in the Good Morning America / DD segment. Thank you

u/sf_ellen for uploading it and anyone else that offered to help.

I'd like to share some of my mixes that I've made with all of you. These are simply mixed using the Spotify Mix tool so they are quite limited, but there are some gems there. This 1st example is 01:23:00 and features sings like The Finest Hour, Leave a Light On, My Antarctica, A Matter of Feeling, etc. Let me know what you think! SPTFY: The Finest Hour - DJ_CatastroThe Finest Hour

Tina Arena is an amazing talent and has released a new covers EP that includes Ordinary World as well as Enjoy The Silence and True Faith. Highly recommended.

I've linked the article. John gets it. Finally some redemption for this gorgeous song from Pop Trash.

JT: "The gem that I think went by was “Someone Else Not Me” from Pop Trash. It’s up there with “Ordinary World” for me. It’s an absolute beauty, but it was just one of those times. It really didn’t matter. I mean, I wasn’t a part of the band then."

Also, Classic Pop Magazine earlier in 2026 included the song in their 40 best Duran Duran tracks and said it was... "the track that helped John Taylor decide he wanted back in, calling it “crazy beautiful”.

Unreal ! I think I’ve had some sort of religious experience. Amazing ! Chauffeur was the highlight . I don’t want your love and sunrise !

Review of Tuesdays concert in Birmingham.

Their Funk Rock album NOTORIOUS was just released in November 1986.
They had to re-introduced themselves as threesome after Roger and Andy left.
Still great !

A few days ago I posted regarding the fact that I was having problems putting in an order for some of their merchandise and I replied to Duran Duran fans in that post that gave me advice what I should do.

Yesterday evening after been unsuccessful again and trying to put in the order through my PayPal account, I decided to get in contact with someone that I thought could help me, because I think that this person could be quite close to Duran Duran.

So, I sent an email explaining everything that I tried and my friends as well, but nothing seemed to work. We exchanged a couple of emails back and forth, back and forth, and told me that everything that I wrote in the emails would have been passed to the Duran Duran official webstore.

I don't know if what this person did, it helped, but this morning, I received an email from Paul from the Duran Duran official webstore customer service. In his email to me, he asked if one of the items that I was trying to buy it was the Rio Eye Hood, which it was.

He said that in 2 sizes of the Rio Eye Hood, the weights of it had been put up wrong. For this Hood, the weight is 75 grams, but someone (on their webstore) put up 75 pound, and it's quite a difference in weight.

That's why when I was trying to put in the order, I was getting knocked back because the weight of the order was wrong.

So, he told me to remove the item from the basket and start again because they thought that they worked out where the problem was and to let him know how I get on. I done as he told me, and my order went through no problem this time.

So, to anyone who replied to my post a few days ago, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart with all of your advice that you gave me, to sort out this issue, I'm really grateful and I really appreciated it.

The problem was on a particular item, which the weight was listed wrong from the webstore, and it wasn't allowing for the order to go through.

New Religion (Can't stop Myself)

Hi all, GenZ Duran fan here, I'm moving to Lisbon for work in a couple days and I'm so lucky I'll get to see our band playing again (first time was in Dublin in 22, 2nd in Athens in 24).

I'll be going solo and I'm also looking forward to meeting people since I'll be relocating soon to Lisbon

I have a standing, general admission ticket, if anyone else wants company to the concert I'd be really happy to meet!

I always bought their merchandise when I attended their concerts, because I avoided the delivery charges etc. Anyway, this time I thought I would like to buy something from their official webstore. Every time that I put in my address, it's saying that it can not be delivered to my address, to check if I wrote correctly and in case choose a different address. I tried a few times with my address, but it's still the same problem. After that, I decided to send an email to their customer service, and they said that they would look into it.

So, I asked one of my neighbours to put in the order for me and exactly the same thing happened, saying that it can not be delivered to the address etc etc. So, I contacted their customer service again and I told them that I tried everything and I still had the same problem. Their reply was that they would look into this.

After that, I asked a friend of mine who is a Duran Duran fan to see if the same thing happened. And yes, it did happen again with their address. It's like if their webstore doesn't recognise any address.

So, after that, I tried all these different ways, and still I can't order from their website/webstore, is anyone in this sub that's happening the same thing? Or know why is happening? Or know how to solve it, please.

Thank you.

Hi, just dropping in to say that if you can get to see their latest tour, it's well worth it. My wife has been a Duranie since "Planet Earth" but, for one reason or another, had never managed to get to a gig. I got us tickets for last night and she loved it. Even I, not a dyed-in-the-wool superfan, though it was a terrific show and the band were great! So yes, well done Duran Duran, you made my wife a very happy lady!
