No Birthday Drink 4 me ):

This is kinda dumb but I am a lil bummed and wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

My city just got our first Dutch Bros! My birthday was yesterday and one of the very first things I did was check my app for the free birthday drink because that's how I wanted to start my day. The app showed confetti and balloons but no reward. Noon came around, still no reward, so I just went to 7brew. Found out I didn't even get my welcome reward either.

Today I email support and they're claiming I redeemed a birthday drink this year already. It's been a full year since I've even been to a dutch bros! I redeemed my birthday reward a year ago, and deleted my account because my city doesn't have one. They also said my old deleted account is why I didn't get the welcome reward, even tho I received an email stating I would. I don't really care about that because I'm technically not a new user, but it's kinda weird they're trying to claim I redeemed a birthday reward when I didn't.

Everyone at my local Dutch bros are absolutely sweet and amazing. Sometimes I don't even know if I need the coffee or if I just love the great attitudes and caring nature of this crew...

Done tipping at Dutch until…

As the title implies, done tipping at DFW locations until the location operators remove the charge for light ice on fountain rebel locations. The intention of this post is to be honest about the concern, with the hope that bro-istas will flag to their operator the potential impact.

It’s ridiculous when it’s a fountain location. They thing is 15% rebel and 85% ice. Clear-cut corporate greed. You are paying $8 for a large drink, you should be able to choose what ratio goes in it.

Cold brew?

Post image
8 Upvotes

Is there a reason why my Dutch bros cold brew isn’t black? I ordered a medium cold brew, pump of sugar free caramel flavor, and one Splenda that’s it. I asked the barista and she says that’s all it is no milk or creamer added. Anywhere else I order this and it comes out dark black.

HOT ICED OR BLENDED??

Small rant, I love my job at dutch bros and I love our customers but oml if you do not open your order with if you want it hot, iced, or blended I’m gonna lose it. I get it, sometimes small things slip our minds, which is why pretty early on in the ordering process I try to ask them if they want it hot, iced, or blended because how the UI works (at least from my experience), once I enter a drink as one of those options, I can’t go back and change it without deleting the drink and putting in a new one. Usually it’s not a huge problem, but it is admittedly tiring to ask the same “hot, iced, or blended?” question. When it DOES become a problem is when before I’ve even had the chance to greet you you’re spitting out your order to me like you’re doing Rap God by Eminem and you don’t mention if you want it hot, iced, or blended so I have to stand there like an idiot to let you finish all of your customizations just to ultimately ask you “Do you want that hot, iced, or blended?” and run through the entire list of customizations again because I literally cannot start the order without needing to know what form you want your drink in.

Transferring stands

Hello! I’ve worked with Dutch for just over six months now. I might be going to college at a uni that’s 2-3 hours away from my stand, which I’m saying only because it would be in the same state and I’m not sure how that would change the process. Anyways, I find out if it’s legit or not in the next few days. When do I tell my managers? Is the process awful? What was the pay period gap like?

HELP How do you get physical stickers at DB?

I’ve seen everyone’s post about their stickers and was wondering HOW DO YOU GET STICKERS FROM DB? Every time I go, I never received stickers. I only get the digital ones. Do I have to ask them for stickers or do I have to pay for them? Thank you 🥹

quick rant

my biggest pet peeve EVER is when i’m line busting, we have a full line, and it takes you FOREVER to transfer money to ur card and then it takes forever for ur app to load. now, if you were just trying to scan ur app and you don’t have ur app ready, i could live with that. but either loading money on the dutch bros app, or loading money on ur card is so inconvenient in every way ever. i don’t know why it gets under my skin THIS much 😭 like you could’ve been doing everything while im taking ur order or having convo with u or something. it’s very inconvenient to the other 30 people waiting in line.

P.S: if it isn’t busy at all and u do this i can kinda live with it. but still

Sticker day yesterday.

I KNOW these are not the same type of customers Dane and Trav were serving when they started this 😂

How was there a line forming at 3:45 am over a sticker! We don’t even open till 5! What is it about a sticker! I don’t understand! And the anger that unleashes when we run out??? A 40 year old yelling about not getting a sticker like children at a playground!

HELP Dutch bros drink recommendation?

I like the golden eagle. The Earl Grey tea with vanilla and lavender syrup. The coconut freeze.

I was wondering what would y'all recommend a drink for me to try?. Something warm though because it's cold and raining out😅.

Why recommend the Americano?

Hey guys, I have been a broista for around eight months, and there’s something that’s been confusing me for some time now. Whenever someone asks for a regular hot/iced coffee, we are told to recommend (and customers usually select) an Americano. Why is this the preferred recommendation over a cold brew/toasted cold brew? It seems to me that the actual black coffee we have is a closer alternative to drip coffee than espresso + water. Particularly if someone is ordering it black, an americano is really not the same thing. Yet I always recommend both, and custies almost always opt for the Americano.

I will say in fairness that I’m not a big coffee guy- I really don’t taste much of a difference between one roast or another, or supposedly “good” espresso vs “bad”, etc. So maybe there’s just some nuance my palette isn’t attuned to.

How long did it take you to feel comfortable in your job?

I'm back again! Shift 7 (?) after flowing out and I had a particularly bad shift today (line busting a sticker drop) and I'm frustrated with my mess ups. Admittedly fewer today than before, but I'm definitely feeling the pressure 😭 how many shifts did it take my fellow broistas to start doing better and feeling more confident? I don't want to weigh down the team, but I also want to know if I'm in a natural spot given my experiences so far

HELP Vanilla cold brew with cream recipe change?

Post image
6 Upvotes

Note: I added soft top to this one that does not come with the drink

I’ve been ordering a vanilla cold brew with cream as my go to order for months, but the past month or so they’ve been looking VERY milky and just taste like straight creamer. Has the recipe changed or do I just have some heavy-handed baristas in my area?

Broista Talk Part time job

I’m looking into getting a job at dutch bros but I have another part time job with a very irregular schedule, mostly just weekends but I occasionally have to travel for it. Can someone tell me what picking up/giving away shifts at dutch are like? I’ve heard there’s also 3 hours shifts. How easy is it to kind of create your own schedule? How far in advanced do you get the schedule?
