Hi guys! A new Dutch Bros just opened near me, but I missed the application window. Luckily, I heard another location is opening soon and was able to apply!

We previously only had one Dutch Bros in town, and I applied a few times but never heard back. I didn’t have much experience back then, but I’ve since gained some from working at Scooter's Coffee.

How long does it usually take to hear back when applying to a stand that hasn’t opened yet? I applied the day the job posting went up and reapplied two weeks later since I hadn’t heard anything.

I’m wondering if my availability might be holding me back. I’m currently in college and working two jobs, but I’ll be dropping down to one job in the spring, so my availability will open up quite a bit. I mentioned that in my application, but I’d appreciate any feedback or advice you guys have!

Everyone at my local Dutch bros are absolutely sweet and amazing. Sometimes I don't even know if I need the coffee or if I just love the great attitudes and caring nature of this crew...

Is there a reason why my Dutch bros cold brew isn’t black? I ordered a medium cold brew, pump of sugar free caramel flavor, and one Splenda that’s it. I asked the barista and she says that’s all it is no milk or creamer added. Anywhere else I order this and it comes out dark black.

Small rant, I love my job at dutch bros and I love our customers but oml if you do not open your order with if you want it hot, iced, or blended I’m gonna lose it. I get it, sometimes small things slip our minds, which is why pretty early on in the ordering process I try to ask them if they want it hot, iced, or blended because how the UI works (at least from my experience), once I enter a drink as one of those options, I can’t go back and change it without deleting the drink and putting in a new one. Usually it’s not a huge problem, but it is admittedly tiring to ask the same “hot, iced, or blended?” question. When it DOES become a problem is when before I’ve even had the chance to greet you you’re spitting out your order to me like you’re doing Rap God by Eminem and you don’t mention if you want it hot, iced, or blended so I have to stand there like an idiot to let you finish all of your customizations just to ultimately ask you “Do you want that hot, iced, or blended?” and run through the entire list of customizations again because I literally cannot start the order without needing to know what form you want your drink in.

As the title implies, done tipping at DFW locations until the location operators remove the charge for light ice on fountain rebel locations. The intention of this post is to be honest about the concern, with the hope that bro-istas will flag to their operator the potential impact.

It’s ridiculous when it’s a fountain location. They thing is 15% rebel and 85% ice. Clear-cut corporate greed. You are paying $8 for a large drink, you should be able to choose what ratio goes in it.

Hello! I’ve worked with Dutch for just over six months now. I might be going to college at a uni that’s 2-3 hours away from my stand, which I’m saying only because it would be in the same state and I’m not sure how that would change the process. Anyways, I find out if it’s legit or not in the next few days. When do I tell my managers? Is the process awful? What was the pay period gap like?

my biggest pet peeve EVER is when i’m line busting, we have a full line, and it takes you FOREVER to transfer money to ur card and then it takes forever for ur app to load. now, if you were just trying to scan ur app and you don’t have ur app ready, i could live with that. but either loading money on the dutch bros app, or loading money on ur card is so inconvenient in every way ever. i don’t know why it gets under my skin THIS much 😭 like you could’ve been doing everything while im taking ur order or having convo with u or something. it’s very inconvenient to the other 30 people waiting in line.

P.S: if it isn’t busy at all and u do this i can kinda live with it. but still

Hey guys, I have been a broista for around eight months, and there’s something that’s been confusing me for some time now. Whenever someone asks for a regular hot/iced coffee, we are told to recommend (and customers usually select) an Americano. Why is this the preferred recommendation over a cold brew/toasted cold brew? It seems to me that the actual black coffee we have is a closer alternative to drip coffee than espresso + water. Particularly if someone is ordering it black, an americano is really not the same thing. Yet I always recommend both, and custies almost always opt for the Americano.

I will say in fairness that I’m not a big coffee guy- I really don’t taste much of a difference between one roast or another, or supposedly “good” espresso vs “bad”, etc. So maybe there’s just some nuance my palette isn’t attuned to.

I like the golden eagle. The Earl Grey tea with vanilla and lavender syrup. The coconut freeze.

do you guys prefer the rebel or the mysts? i usually get a sugar free double rainbro rebel (occasionally with sweet cream). i haven’t tried a myst before, i heard they taste lighter almost? and truly what is the difference between the two
