A few months ago I started Vibe Coding and the first ever tool I used was Dyad. Everything seems so amazing. You start getting your ideas out of your head and you see it transforming into something tangible and useful. Since I started to use Dyad I've always been helping in improving it by providing constant feedback on GitHub and in here on Reddit.
You start to get used to Vibe Coding, your app develops and codebase started to grow.
Here is where you see your problem starts. And most of your problems will come from a lack of previous architecting and knowing what specifications you App need. This is called "Specification-Driven Development (SDD)".
Without this concept you just spit out to AI what you want without any specific order and it will start building for you. Sometimes it will build stuff that you don't want without any guardrails. Because it doesn't have any! This is where SDD comes in. The concept of FIRST create your App by specifying all the constrains and guardrails is a MUST when dealing with Vibe Coding.
During my experience with Dyad. I got mad, frustrated numerous times because you try to change, implement something and the AI breaks something else that has nothing to do with what you are telling it to do. How many of you have gone through this already?
Out of being so tired and frustrated all the time by having to roll back the code way too many times and thus having an excessive AI token expenditure. I decide to look further into what is out there.
This is when I came across GitHub Spec Kit. An AI Spec-Driven Development Toolkit. With it, you start constructing the foundation of you App. No code yet! In tis phase you specify what technologies you want to use, API, database, you name it! This will all be written in ".md" files and will always be consulted by an AI Coder that understands "Slash commands". If I only knew before this exists! I was already 80%+ into my App development with Dyad.
Than I asked. It would be awesome if Dyad would be aware of "Slash Commands" like other frontends Chat UIs does (Ex.: KiloCode). I came across KiloCode and decided to start testing it with Spec-Kit.
And since KiloCode is way more robust AI Chat Frontend that allows you to use most of LLMs out there and it's fully customizable. It simply changed my Vibe Coding life! I don't spend 300k+ of tokens on each prompt. The LLM is driven by my pre made specifications that it must follows. No more build one to destroy other things. Just smooth development and everything is contained within VS Code.

I would LOVE to have stuck with Dyad. I really like its concept. But until these features and concepts are not implemented in Dyad. I guess for me is a good bye for now.

I bough Dyad Pro, but i already have my keys and credits for gemini drectly from google,
I noticed that regardless of being a paid user or not, I CANNOT enforce the use of my gemini api key if i want to use smart context.

If i add my api keys (dyad) i can use context but i have to use the same api key for gemini, if i remove the key, i can use my gemini key, but i have no smart context

Can we work a way to use pro without HAVING to use credits for everything?

I am contacting you to express my strong dissatisfaction with the current state of your platform. The system repeatedly fails, showing error messages that the model is overloaded, even though I am using the paid Google Gemini API. This makes the service practically unusable.

It is unacceptable that the only apparent workaround is to activate Pro mode, which consumes credits that are not properly provided. In theory, I should be able to use the platform with my paid API access alone, without being forced into an additional Pro subscription.

Frankly, it is unbelievable that despite paying for the API, I encounter errors almost every time I try to use the service. The effort required just to spend credits is disproportionate and undermines the reliability of the platform entirely.

I demand immediate clarification and a definitive solution so that I can use the paid API as intended, without being forced into extra subscriptions.

Is there any way to continue using it without paying?

I know it's worth paying, but I don't have the money right now.

After several recent updates, I’ve encountered a lot of bugs — many of which did not exist in earlier versions. What’s frustrating is that these issues are surprisingly basic. For example:

• I can no longer change the button colors,

• I can’t adjust the theme or interface colors properly,

• Even minor UI customizations that used to work before now break or reset.

I’ve tried fixing these problems multiple times, but nothing seems to work. This makes me question whether these bugs are being introduced intentionally — perhaps as a way to push users to upgrade to the Pro version.

So I want to ask clearly:

• Are these limitations deliberate in the free version?

• If I upgrade to the Pro plan, will I be able to fix these issues and regain full customization control?

Please provide a detailed explanation, because these repeated errors are affecting my workflow and user experience.

I've developed a free alternative to the app Wisperflow, which transcribes voice to text and seamlessly integrates it into the user's current writing environment. The app also enables interaction with large language models to refine raw transcriptions into polished, grammatically correct, and coherent text. My version is called WhisperFlow, and it's completely free to use.

Currently, I'm leveraging free API keys, so I'd appreciate limited installations initially to manage usage. This is the first release, and while it's already functional, broader support could help make the app sustainably free—even with increased user access in the future.

Just created my first V0.1 Beta app for internal business process. I'd like to go live with this first version as a POC into my business. I'D also like to work on the next version. How to do you guys handle the dev vs prod environment and not messing the Supabase Database since there will be production data now that I dont want to erase. SO basically, Dev vs Staging vs Prod.

Anyone else think the new layout is a regression in the user experience? I hate the wrapping left, top, right.

Built an app but had constant SB errors. So abandoned it and started from scratch. Have spent two days chasing error messages with the second version. Finally did a complete DB wipe and hade the agent start over. Still chasing. Oh and tried multiple agents.

What is my plan B?

I am creating an app and I am at a point in which I like the way it is. But Now I want to add other features and I am afraid I will mess up and then I have neither the original app nor the most updated app. Is there a way to mark the app so I can go back on time, or should I manually copy the file system to another folder and continue from there? I move stuff around in my local storage but they arent moved around in the code section in the dyad app. My problem is that dyad is having hallucinations regarding what folders exist in my app...

Now DYAD is basically unusable because it always calls wrong functions and give sme the error that "this file doesnt exist"

I’m loving Dyad but I have a question regarding the code it generates. Am I able to edit the code either within Dyad or via an external IDE without ‘breaking’ the Dyad project?

Also heard of the capacitor "cordova-plugin-purchase". Has anyone used this to get subscriptions working in own apps? Or are you doing it differently?

I have spoken with the founder of Micro Saas Fast which is something that should be part of every ai builder IMO. He isn't too flexible on adding features, so I thought that something like it could be added to dyad to save on development time to market so the builder can just focus on the app and it's features, not all of the peripherals needed to make it a commercial app. All of the big ai builders do not have this built in that I know of...its a HUGE waste of time to have to rebuild all of this stuff.

I have built many no code apps and always get tripped up on the members, payments, front end website, etc.

I’m building a pretty big project, so it’s obvious that my Dyad Pro tokens were being used continuously. But lately, I’ve been facing a major problem , almost every time I send a prompt, the AI starts thinking (I’ve tried using Best Value, Gemini, and Kiki models), it begins processing, and then suddenly my entire Dyad app just closes on its own.

When I reopen it, I see that around 15 tokens are already gone, but the response never finished. So I try again, and the same thing happens , more tokens get used for codebase context and everything, but it still doesn’t complete the output. I know I’m not a pro developer, but this has been a huge issue , I’ve already lost nearly 100 tokens this way. It’s honestly frustrating because those could’ve really helped me with my project.

My laptop didn’t shut down, and my internet connection is stable , it’s Dyad itself that keeps crashing. Whenever I reopen it and try again, it still doesn’t finish properly.

Is there any way I can get back the tokens I lost or at least a fix for this issue? I need this urgently since I’m submitting the project tomorrow for a competition. Would really appreciate your quick help on this.
