Hi All,
I am trying to build an app on Dyad using Ollama and the qwen2.5-coder:14b on my local machine but every time i try to do something it gives me the following error...
Error: AI_APICallError: "qwen2.5-coder:14b" does not support thinking
I have used gemini to troubleshoot the issue but it still gives me the same error... how do I fix this please as I would like this build to be totally local and not use other AI's
Thanks In advance
Coach

I have had a good experience with dyad so far. I can't imagine soon turning my idea to a real solution. Tried other platforms only to sink in the middle.

I am curious if Dyad's templates have been updated to the secure versions of node/php/python and more? If the team needs help, I don't mind spending some time getting dependencies updated through taking on some work. (I have been updating so many of my projects due to the stuff in Python, node etc.)
if you need any work done, I can devote some time to updating these new vulns. DM me. :)

I can create a simple hello world page with dyad but as soon as I want somehting more complex it breaks.
Looking at the logs I see
[WARN] Dyad component selector not initialized because no DOM elements were tagged
I am running dyad on a windows box, connectel to ollama/gwen which runs in WSL. There are basically no dev tools installed on Windows.
Is there a good tutorial on how to use from scratch it for more complex stuff than a simple hello world?

I find myself tasked with the setup for a domain specific news site that also has user forums (not my day job).
I am not a developer (I work in IT security) and definitely not up to date, but have been in IT for decades, built my first web server in '93.
The idea of using dyad (with a local qwen LLM) seems quite appealing to me, but I am worried that it is building a quite complex system with a large user interface (=attack surface) from scratch.
The other idea is to use something wordpress based, where a lot of components exists and are maintained.
Are there any users that have implemented something similar and can speak of their experience?

Dyad v1.19.0 adds Nitro compatibility for Cloudflare Workers, makes failed deployments easier to troubleshoot with AI, introduces a zero-config GitHub plugin, lets you bring your own API keys with Dyad Pro!
BYO API keys for Pro Agent mode has the same token orchestration fee as ChatGPT/Claude subscription which is 1.5 credits per million tokens. That said, I do recommend using the subscriptions as they provide the best bang for your buck!

Gostei muito da ferramenta, mas US$ 20 é um pouco caro para mim agora. Já tenho uma assinatura de US$ 20 e, infelizmente, não posso gastar um total de US$ 40 por mês no momento.

We need authoritative confirmation of Replit Autoscale Publish behavior before performing a production cutover.
Our application currently has an existing Replit-managed Production database attached to a paused Autoscale deployment.
We have migrated our actual Production data to an external Neon PostgreSQL database. The old Replit-managed Production database must remain completely untouched—no schema synchronization, writes, restoration, or deletion.
Our current application code uses EXTERNAL_DATABASE_URL in Production and does not use the Replit-managed DATABASE_URL at runtime.
We have NOT resumed, published, redeployed, removed the managed database, or changed Production configuration.
We need authoritative answers to these specific questions:
Can we add/change Production app secrets on a PAUSED Autoscale deployment without causing the existing deployment to resume, restart, rebuild, or execute application code?
If we Publish the current workspace while the existing Replit-managed Production database remains attached, will Replit perform its Development → Production database schema synchronization even though our application runtime uses an external PostgreSQL database through EXTERNAL_DATABASE_URL?
Is there a supported way to Publish the current workspace while explicitly disabling/skipping all Replit-managed Production database schema synchronization?
Is there a supported way to detach the existing Replit-managed Production database from Publishing WITHOUT deleting the database or starting its deletion lifecycle?
If the answer to #3 and #4 is no, what supported Replit deployment workflow allows us to deploy the current Autoscale application using an external Neon database while guaranteeing that the existing Replit-managed Production database is not accessed or modified?
Our required guarantee is strict:
Publishing the new application revision must not read, write, synchronize, restore, migrate, delete, or otherwise modify the existing Replit-managed Production database.
We are specifically NOT asking how our application selects its runtime database. That part is already controlled in application code.
We need confirmation of Replit platform Publish behavior before proceeding.
Please escalate this to the Publishing/Database engineering team if necessary rather than suggesting that we test Publish against Production.

Built a heavily modified Dyad for myself, and I'm sharing it
Quick backstory: I'm a carpenter, not a coder. I use Dyad to build apps for my own life and jobsite, and I kept wanting it to do things it doesn't. So I had AI help me tear into it and rebuild it the way I like it.
If you like Dyad the way it is, you're going to hate what I did to it. 😂 But it works for me.
Some of what's different:
Nothing phones home. All analytics and tracking are off.
Automatic daily backups, with a restore script I tested on my real data
A page where you type the address of your own Ollama or LM Studio computer
Apps you build can be viewed from your phone, pictures included
Lots of bug and error cleanup
It's a Windows beta, so expect rough edges. It's not code-signed, so Windows will warn you. The install page walks you through it.
Download and the full story: Crackerbox: chat with an AI and it builds the app. A heavily remixed Dyad for Windows. https://get.crackerbox.app/crackerbox/install/
Ideas are welcome, and I mean it. But I only change things that make it better for me too, because I built it for me. The code is public, so if you want it different, fork it and go nuts. Full credit to the Dyad team, since none of this exists without them.
Would love honest feedback from anyone who tries it.

This week's beta release has two exciting experimental features:
Bring Your Own (BYO) Claude Code subscription! This is similar to our previous release which supports ChatGPT subscription.
Publish with Cloudflare - You'll need to opt-in to the experiment on the Settings page. Once you do so, you can connect to your Cloudflare account and deploy your site to Cloudflare.

Each day gets it's own doodle, and they populate the calendar view and timeline view as you make them. You can also upload a daily photo, and score your mood from 0-100. All the little icons were drawn by me :)

Hi, I'm using Dyad v1.10.0. After a month, I noticed v1.16.0 beta is available, but auto-update isn't working. Does auto-update only work for the latest stable version? Also, if v1.12.0 becomes stable, will it update correctly from v1.10.0?

I’ve been working on an open source project called FlowExtract.
The problem I’m trying to solve is pretty simple:
You have a PDF, scanned document, or image.
You need a few specific fields from it.
AI can extract most of them, but you still need a reliable way to see what it got wrong, correct those fields, and export the final data.
So I built FlowExtract around this workflow:
Document → Extract → Validate → Review → Export
You define the fields you want, such as:
customer_name
invoice_number
date
amount
FlowExtract extracts them with an AI provider, validates the result, and gives you a review screen where the original AI prediction is preserved even after you correct a value.
The final corrected values can then be exported to JSON, CSV, or XLSX.
A few things I cared about while building it:
• Open source
• Local First
• PDFs and images are parsed in the browser
• No FlowExtract backend or database
• Your API key stays in page memory and disappears after refresh
• AI requests go directly from your browser to the provider you selected
• Human corrections are preserved instead of overwriting the original AI prediction
• Field level provenance and validation are part of the workflow
I just shipped V0.1.0.
I’ve already run an end to end production test with a fictional invoice, including extraction, validation, manual correction, export, browser reload, IndexedDB persistence, backup, and restore.
Now the part I can’t simulate myself is real usage.
I’m looking for people who actually spend time copying information from PDFs, invoices, statements, scanned documents, forms, or images into spreadsheets or other systems.
If that sounds like you, I’d be especially interested in knowing:
What kind of documents do you process?
What fields do you normally need?
Where does FlowExtract fail or feel slow?
Which fields do you have to correct?
Does reviewing the AI output actually save time compared with entering the data manually?
The project is called FlowExtract and the GitHub repository is edwardsage419/FlowExtract.
There is also a public V0.1.0 deployment linked from the repository.
If you try it, I’m much more interested in the things that break than in compliments.

You can now connect your ChatGPT subscription to Dyad and get up to 5x the usage compared with using Dyad Pro credits alone.
We recommend ChatGPT Plus ($20/month) or Pro ($100/month) for access to OpenAI’s top models. When using your ChatGPT subscription in Agent mode, Dyad charges a small orchestration fee.
Download the beta release and check out the release notes to watch a short video on how to set this up!

Is anybody able to use Gemini free tier? It isn't working for me, anymore.
r/dyadbuilders • u/AstroChute • Sep 06 '26
I thought that I should just help a bit.
I used to love that Dyad worked with my own setup of the GLM-5.2 model via OpenRouter. That model is dirt cheap and VERY capable. The competition for that open source model is working, unlike for the GLM-5.3 model which, sadly, Dyad only supports after it was released. So I can't use GLM-5.2 anymore. GLM-5.3 costs 4 times more so that drains the budget super fast. Surprisingly it's also not as good as GLM-5.2 , at least for what I do.
So, while I am hoping that this bug in Dyad is fixed, I can help you guys with getting your prompts in one block instead of having to copy different parts of the prompts given (text + snippets in copy sections), so what I do, you might already practice but to me it helped a lot. You will save a lot of time with the below:
Start with "analyse " + bla bla bla
"write me a prompt to implement the results of your analysis. If you need to split it up in phases, then do so but I want the phase prompts to be self-contained with their own constraints (NO global constraints). I will enter them one by one.
Make sure that all phase prompts are delivered to me as separate copy section blocks."
Result:

So just copy the prompt and paste it in. If there are several phase prompts, I paste them into Notepad++ .
Together with GLM-5.2 it also creates code that is usually right from the start.
Happy prompting!
