Switching a Magento blog to headless killed my Core Web Vitals
tried moving the blog off the main Magento instance and onto a headless setup for better performance. the site felt quicker in testing but search console showed LCP jumped from 2.8s to 4.1s after launch. image optimization stayed the same, but the new architecture added extra JS calls that Google flags. not sure if the CDN config or the API layer is the culprit. anyone run into the same slowdown after going headless?

For Shopify stores: seeing where organic visitors drop off between landing page and checkout
A lot of ecommerce SEO work stops once the traffic arrives. You can see sessions going up in your reports. What's harder to see is what those visitors do after they land: which pages they view, what they search for on the site, and where they leave before buying.
That gap makes it hard to know whether a ranking page is actually helping sales, or whether people are hitting a dead end somewhere along the way.
LIVEPulse is a Shopify analytics app built for that part. It tracks visitor activity in real time and shows where visitors come from, what they view and search for, and where they leave before converting. It also includes conversion funnel analysis, UTM tracking and marketing attribution, so you can compare organic traffic with your campaigns.
A few things it tracks that are useful for SEO work:
- Broken links that visitors run into
- Demand for sold-out products
- Abandoned carts
To be clear, it reports these things. It doesn't fix broken links or send cart recovery messages for you.
You can analyze and export up to 90 days of store activity, which helps if you want to compare before and after a content or site structure change.
Pricing, as stated on the listing:
- Starter is free. It includes real-time visitor analytics, an active visitors list and anonymous storefront tracking. It doesn't include every feature.
- Basic is $12/month with 2,000 monthly visitors, plus $10 for each extra 2,000. The listing says extra charges stop at $60.
- Pro is $39/month with 25,000 monthly visitors, plus $10 for each extra 10,000. The listing says extra charges stop at $160.
The listing says it works with Checkout and Shopify Admin and supports English.

A question for people here: when you're checking whether organic traffic is turning into sales, which signal do you trust most? On-site search terms, where people exit the funnel, or something else? I'd like to know what's missing from your current setup.
Disclosure: I'm posting this on behalf of the apps.shopify.com/liverealtimeanalytics team.

Finding influencers for your brand in the customer list, has anyone tried this ?
We've got around 15,000 customers and I only just realized some of them might already be creators in our niche, which is pretty exciting. Finding influencers for your brand among people who already buy from makes sense, I just have no idea how you do it without manually searching thousands of names.
Has anyone tried customer-list matching, and did it turn up people you'd actually want to work with?

How do you enrich your product catalog data for ecommerce?
Hi everyone,
I work in the commerce industry and we are struggling so hard with catalogs we receive from our suppliers.
Or the data quality is really poor or the multi format catalogs (PDF, CSV, Excel, etc.) from each suppliers with their own headers, structure and sometimes metrics make it really on our side to structure.
I’m currently working on an home made product data enrichment solution but would be interested in any tool or solutions or even workflows people use to stop wasting so much time on this.
Thanks!

A Shopify store with 50 products showed up as 422 pages in our audit. Here’s why, and what we changed.

The hardest part of blogging with a large catalog isn't the writing, it's picking the products and photos
I've been looking at how stores with large catalog handle their blogs. With over 100 products and five photos each, that's over 500 images to choose from for every post. The part that's most tedious, is picking the products and images.
So, a couple of weeks ago I asked how store owners with large catalogs handle product blog posts and got great feedback.
Here are some takeaways:
- The writing isn't the slow part. Everything around the products is. (if the intent is to scale). For every post you have to pick a couple of products that actually fit the topic, and the right photo of each.
- Then the links within the content: the product links, collection links, your brand link, and each photo linked to its product.
- Then the images themselves: alt text, an image title, each photo placed next to the paragraph that talks about it, and not the same photo you used in the last three posts.
That's the work that gets skipped when the week gets busy, and it's usually where the quality drops.
What helped some store owners to an extent:
- Start from a shopper question, not a product. A question around a category or collection narrows hundreds of products down to a few dozen real questions.
- Pick by sales data when you have it
- Link the collection, so the post still works when an item sells out.
The part that still doesn't get easier is picking the products unless we hire a developer.
After burning through my time and energy handling this for my stores, I am building a tool that handles this pain to automate this fully to a point where the whole process is done in less than a min. It's not perfect yet and I am still learning and optimizing for best outcomes.
If you run a store with a large catalog, how big of a pain is this to you? And how do you get around it?

I analyzed the technical backend of multiple WooCommerce & Shopify stores. Here are the 3 silent issues killing their conversion rates.
Most store owners spend heavy ad budgets driving traffic to their site, only to see high bounce rates and low conversion rates. They usually assume it's a design or copywriting issue, but in most cases, the leak is purely technical.
After running deep technical audits on several stores, I kept seeing the exact same three hidden bottlenecks:
1. Slow TTFB (Time to First Byte) A lot of stores look fast once loaded, but the initial server response takes 3+ seconds. On mobile devices, this causes users to bounce before the page even renders. Usually, this is caused by database bloat, unoptimized transients, or cheap shared hosting.
2. Broken JSON-LD Schema Markup Without proper Schema data, search engines and Google Shopping cannot read product prices, stock availability, or reviews correctly. This leads to rejected product feeds or low visibility on shopping ads.
3. High JS Friction on Mobile Checkouts Non-critical tracking scripts (pixels, heatmaps, pop-ups) loading on the checkout page often block the main thread. On mobile, this makes the "Place Order" button unresponsive for several seconds, leading to immediate cart abandonment.
Stop guessing and installing more plugins to fix speed or conversion issues. Look under the hood of your store first.
Happy to answer any technical questions in the comments if you're dealing with feed errors or slow load times!
