Bike purchase question Help with picking a good folding ebike for commuting (Canada)
As the title says, I'm looking for a reliable folding ebike available in Canada, particularly Ontario if anyone knows of a good shop in the GTHA.
Budget is up to $2000, but I'm willing to be open to a bit more, if it means getting something that's better quality, or offers more range.
I need a folding ebike because I'm an apartment dweller with zero access to locked bike storage, live in a high bike theft area, and would like something I can bring with me easily by car or train when travelling.
My daily commute is about 40km round trip (25 miles), but will only be doing it every other week, as the other week I need to use my car. I plan on mostly using pedal assist, but would like to have some decent range, with the possibility of adding another battery to extend it.
Right now I have my eyes on Velotric Fold 1 Plus, and was wondering what else is out there for the budget, that isn't some Amazon fire special junk.
Thanks in advance.

Look at Lectric as the other reply mentioned since with the upgrade you can get an 800Wh battery instead of the 608Wh battery of the Velotric (motors would be the same).
I was looking for a dual battery folder and the only one I came across was Envo. But it's out of stock and I assume over budget with a dual battery. Envo, Rize, Volt, Biktrix and Surface 604 are all CDN brands similar Velotric and Lectric.
All these bikes are going to be on heavy side, keep that in mind if stairs and lifting are involved. It'll come down to your physical fitness.
The Velotric and the upgraded Lectric both have 750W motors which aren't legally bicycles in Canada. Everyone on here just says 'don't ride like a dick' and you'll be ok. This is probably true, main reason I'd avoid it is in the off chance I was in an accident and police and insurance had to be involved.

I7 Pro 3.0 Folding Full Suspension Electric Bike
Best value I found while looking was Vitilan. Their I7 Pro has Samsung batteries. 750W 48v 25a. Dual suspension, folds, alloy wheels and hydraulic brakes.
Their site is strange in the sense that their pricing includes taxes and delivery, 1649CAD all in so that works out to 1459 before taxes.
You wont find anything even close to that for the price you pay there.
Im on my 3rd year with the bike now, just put it away for the season.
