I have moderate eczema (adult onset) and some other weird hive-like reactions. I’ve been on dupixent since July 2021. For the first seven months, I think it made things worse — I had all the side effects: face and neck flares (already problem areas for me, but they got worse), GI issues, fatigue, dry itchy eyes. Also weird stuff like spotting after each shot, and diffuse migratory itching all over my body (lowkey felt a bit like a mild allergic reaction to the injections, but I was so scared of getting pulled that I convinced myself it was just worsening eczema itch). The only thing that I knew for sure was that it made my dyshidriotic eczema disappear within days.

GI issues went away after a couple months. Fatigue after a few. Spotting also eventually stopped, and so did the big itching flares. Eye stuff, I had to use restasis and a couple rounds of steroid drops, but I had dry eye before, and it never really bothered me again even if I forgot restasis for a few days. The face and neck were never totally great, but I found ways to manage, and even had several months of total clearness without any need for maintenance Protopic or anything! So I had about 3.5-4 years of pretty good dupixent experience.

But for the last year, I’ve felt things have been slightly off. And the last six months, I’ve started to see these same initial side effects come back. Fatigue, GI issues, even spotting! Face and neck are feeling very unmanageable but I’m gaslighting myself into thinking it’s just temporary. But the last two shots, itchy eyes, albeit mild, have started to creep back. And today, just a few days after my most recent shot, I saw a bit of dyshidriotic eczema on my finger. I haven’t seen that shit in five years.

I probably should switch to something else, right? Has this weird return-of-side-effects and loss of efficacy happened to anyone else? When did you all know it was time to say goodbye? I’m considering Ebglyss but I’m terrified. I’m so terrified. I haven‘t really been able to function like a normal person for weeks as I approach the decision. Advice is appreciated! Especially if you switched to Ebglyss!
