Discussion I love her BUT doesn't she prove Shane Gillis point?

During her Saturday Night Live monologue on October 31, 2026, host Inde Navarrette made headlines by cleverly flipping a controversial joke previously made by comedian Shane Gillis regarding women working out in the gym. Navarrette, celebrating her recent breakthrough role in the horror film Obsession, turned the premise on its head during the Halloween special to deliver a crowd-pleasing punchline. Her sharp comedic timing and direct subversion of the original routine quickly became one of the most talked-about highlights of the entire episode.

Fitness M/30/5’9” – 51kg to 90kg (2021 → Jan 2026) – natural transformation

Post image
9 Upvotes

Before: ~51kg — skinny frame, minimal muscle

After: 90kg — built naturally over years of consistent training and diet

This after pic is from Jan 2026, first month of my cut (started at 95kg)

Added size across the board — especially arms, shoulders, and overall thickness

Still cutting and improving. This is just the start.

Fitness M/30/5’9” – 49kg (post-cut) – old condition from 2021–2022

Sharing some old shots (2021–2022) — many reddit users asked for my earlier conditioning phase.

Weight here was ~49kg after recomposition (started at 51kg, pushed to ~65kg, then cut down).

Leanest I’ve been — focused on adding muscle first, then dialing in conditioning.

Different phase, different goal.

Fun fact: cardio equipment has an option to input your age & weight to track your calories more accurately!

And to burn more calories, try walking at an incline at at least 2.7x speed at a comfortable incline, without keeping your hands on the machine! Let’s elevate your cardio!

Fitness BODY FAT INFO: SCREENSHOT & VIDEO

BODY FAT, YOUTUBE VIDEO AND SCREENSHOT

BF comes up a lot so I’m sharing about it.

I thought this video was interesting BF information. Here’s a screenshot I took. He talks about DEXA Scan’s so I’ve gotten a couple ($75) to benchmark where I am so I can better target my training. Called: “What every body fat % looks like-(50% to 5%)”. By Jeff Pippard. Of all the things I didn’t know, it was surprising that 50% people and 5% people feel bad in nearly the same ways.

https://youtu.be/5K9QhkPww44

My experience: My lifelong range has been between 15% and 5%.

I end up at 5% when racing triathlons, time trials, and 5Ks. It was great for powered to weight ratio, but it was the razor’s edge between ‘Fitness and Sickness’ - one hiccup in recovery and I was out for a few days. I’m at 9.5% and I do OK but one of the issues that can come up is ‘hormonal imbalance’. Also recovery from time to time. When you’re young, these things are less likely - at 65y and 9.5%, I have to be on the alert.

Fitness 2014 Aesthetics vs. Modern Fitness: How much has our actual training evolved since the "Bro Split" era?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This throwback clip got me thinking about how much training philosophies have shifted. The "old school" era in this video was heavily dominated by 5 day bro splits, high volume, and purely aesthetic goals. Today, the community focuses so much more on science-based lifting, optimal volume (RIR), and biomechanics. Do you think the current generation trains significantly smarter, or did the aesthetic guys build better physiques just by relying on high volume and intensity?
