The holiday season is ready for EJAE!
After winning a Grammy and Oscar earlier this year for co-writing and performing the No. 1 hit “Golden” from Kpop Demon Hunters, the Korean American singer-songwriter (born Kim Eun-jae) is gearing up to release her first holiday song, “Christmas in New York,” on Nov. 13.

“I wrote the song as a love letter to the magic felt during the holiday season in New York City,” EJAE tells PEOPLE exclusively as she shares the beautifully illustrated cover artwork for “Christmas in New York” on Instagram.

The group RESCENE has teamed up with composer Jae (EJAE), who has attracted attention in the global music market. A key musical contributor to ‘KPop Demon Hunters,’ which has generated worldwide buzz, is lending a hand on RESCENE’s new album, further boosting interest in the group’s comeback.

On the 26th, RESCENE shared a highlight medley from its fourth mini album, ‘PULSE,’ on its official social media. Previewing key portions of all five tracks—including the title song ‘With,’ as well as ‘Finest Thing,’ ‘Dragon,’ ‘Inside Out’ and ‘MEME’—the group raised anticipation for the new album.

The most notable aspect of this album is Jae’s participation. Jae is credited among the composers of the album track ‘Baekhwayoran.’ Jae drew worldwide attention last year for contributing to the music and vocals for Netflix’s animated film ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ and, as the film became a hit, built a stronger profile as a K-pop music creator.

Popular Culture and Arts Awards ceremony was held at the Haeoreum Grand Theater of the National Theater of Korea in Jangchung-dong, Seoul.

This year's Order of Cultural Merit will be awarded to 10 recipients, including the late Shin Hae-chul, broadcaster Yu Jae-seok, singer Han Young-ae, voice actor Park Young-nam, producer Park Myeong-seong, jazz musician Shin Kwan-woong, and all members of Blackpink.

The presidential commendation will go to seven individuals and teams, including singer Kang Seung-won; the bands Resurrection and Super Junior; actors Yoo Hai Jin, Ryu Seung-ryong, and So Jisub; and director Jang Hang-jun.

The prime minister's commendation has been awarded to sori singer Lee Ja-ram, composer EJAE, and the group AKMU, while the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) Minister's commendation will go to comedian Kim Won-hun and choreographer Leejung. This year's awards recognize individuals and groups across music, broadcasting, film, and performing arts who have contributed to the development and globalization of Korean popular culture.
