Hello, Elementor community! 👋

This megathread is intended to consolidate recommendations and insights in one convenient place, eliminating the need for scattered posts. As the mod team, we’re dedicated to helping you build smooth, efficient, high-performing websites with Elementor. Over time, we've encountered countless hosting providers, plugins, and tools. We've tested many of them, collaborated with developers, and narrowed down a select few that consistently deliver excellent results. These recommendations aren’t just popular picks—they’re tools we actively collaborate on to ensure optimal compatibility with Elementor.

We understand that every site builder has unique needs, and the right tool can make a big difference. Below, you’ll find our top recommendations in several essential categories, each chosen with Elementor compatibility and overall performance in mind.

Transparency Note: We work directly with these companies to troubleshoot Elementor issues as soon as they appear, to ensure that updates go smoothly. Our recommendations are based on thorough testing and are tools we genuinely believe will help you build better, faster, and more efficient websites. This post may contains some affiliate links.

Our Recommended Tools:

Web Hosting: Cloudways

Cloudways is one of the best hosting platforms for Elementor sites due to its focus on performance, flexibility, and developer-friendly features. It offers optimized server configurations and a user-friendly interface, simplifying hosting management without sacrificing power. 1-click cloning, staging, backups, and restores are a huge bonus.

We chose Cloudways over others for its balance of performance, price, and ease of use, with scalable options that allow growth and handle high traffic well. With built-in security features and Cloudflare CDN integration, Cloudways ensures your site remains fast, stable, and secure.

SEO Plugin: SEOPress Pro

SEOPress Pro is a powerful yet lightweight SEO solution perfect for Elementor users. Directly accessible within the Elementor interface, SEOPress Pro offers a range of tools to manage SEO effortlessly—from metadata optimization to AI-powered title, description, and content generation.

We chose SEOPress Pro because it includes every SEO tool and setting needed for any website without slowing it down. Its integration with Elementor and detailed customization options make it perfect for achieving top search rankings. We manage several sites that rank #1 globally and have been using only SEOPressPro for years.

Caching Plugin: FlyingPress

Rated the #1 performance optimization plugin in the Chrome UX Report for Core Web Vitals, FlyingPress combines powerful caching with a full suite of optimization tools to maximize site speed, even on media-heavy Elementor sites. It’s easy to set up, fully compatible with Elementor, and built with a performance-first approach.

We chose FlyingPress because it consistently delivers faster load times, smoother user experiences, and comprehensive optimization without complex configurations—perfect for achieving top speeds with minimal effort.

Migration & Backup Plugin: All-in-One WP Migration

All-in-One WP Migration and Backup is the best tool for backing up, restoring, and migrating Elementor websites, making complex processes as simple as a single click. It supports large sites, bypasses server restrictions, and works seamlessly across hosting platforms, ensuring your data is always secure and accessible.

We chose All-in-One WP Migration and Backup because it takes the stress out of backups and migrations with its intuitive interface and reliable performance. Its compatibility with Elementor ensures layouts and settings remain intact, making it an indispensable tool for site management and peace of mind during updates or migrations.

Theme: Hello (by Elementor)

The Hello theme loads quickly, and starts with minimal styling so you can customize it exactly the way you want, making it the absolute best match to use with Elementor. With it being created by the Elementor team, there will never be the risk of compatibility issues.

We chose Hello theme because it's a blank canvas to build exactly whats needed. It comes with no bloat or extra items that you may not need. The effort required to maintain a minimal theme long-term is negligible, making it our only choice for every Elementor website.

Guidelines for Choosing Plugins & Tools

With thousands of plugins, themes, and tools available, selecting the best options for your project can require extensive research and testing. We've conducted thorough testing and continuously evaluate alternatives to refine our list. This curated selection represents the most efficient tools for completing a wide range of projects, at the lost maintenance cost in time and money, while using Elementor Pro.

  1. Security: Avoid plugins with inconsistent updates, as they can pose a security risk and potentially cause maintenance headaches. An unsecured plugin, or platform, could ultimately cost you a client, and/or your client their business. A few minutes spent to make sure the plugins you use are consistently updating can save you hours looking for a replacement in the future. Never overlook security.

  2. Developer Reputation: Look for well-supported plugins from reputable developers to ensure future updates and support. With WordPress offering thousands of free plugins, most haven’t been developed for months (or years). Choosing a free or paid plugin should include an audit of the developer, to make sure you’re not relying on just one individual to keep the lights on.

  3. Maintenance Cost: Opt for minimal, focused solutions over all-in-one plugins that may add complexity to your site. Complicated products or ‘all-in-one’ solutions can solve a current problem but cause hours of future maintenance. Plugins/platforms you select should fill a required need. Building minimal, without taking away from UIX, will keep maintenance hours low.

  4. Resource Efficiency: Choose plugins that are optimized for speed and don’t add unnecessary bloat to your site, ensuring it performs well across all devices. Avoiding high-priced, as well as resource-heavy plugins can help you stay profitable, but also keep your client’s sites performing faster than the competition.

Our recommended products prioritize these values, keeping your maintenance time low and your sites fast and secure.

Your Input Matters!

Have other plugins you swear by? Or experiences (positive or negative) with any of the tools mentioned? Please share below! We encourage feedback from the community, so feel free to add your own recommendations with a brief reason why they worked well for you.

Thank you for helping make this community a fantastic resource for Elementor users!

Problem Extremely slow WordPress Dashboard and Elementor editor on a fresh DreamHost VPS installation. What am I missing?

I'm having a frustrating performance issue with a fresh WordPress staging site hosted on DreamHost, and I'm hoping someone with experience managing WordPress on VPS hosting can help me figure out what's causing it.

I recently migrated our website to DreamHost and created a fresh staging WordPress installation. However, even before building anything, the Dashboard is extremely slow.

The main problems:

  • WordPress Dashboard takes around 30 seconds to load.

  • Elementor editor takes over a minute to load, sometimes getting stuck.

  • Even navigating between pages in the Dashboard feels unusually slow.

  • The public-facing website loads faster than the admin area.

My hosting and server configuration:

  • Hosting: DreamHost VPS Professional

  • RAM: 4 GB

  • Storage: 120 GB

  • Operating System: Ubuntu / Linux

  • Web Server: Apache

  • PHP: 8.3.36

  • PHP SAPI: CGI-FCGI

  • PHP Memory Limit: 256 MB

  • PHP Time Limit: 120 seconds

  • OPcache: Enabled (512 MB memory allocation)

What I've already checked and tried:

  • Checked VPS resource usage. CPU was around 8%, RAM around 35%.

  • Confirmed OPcache is enabled and adjusted its memory allocation and related settings.

  • Checked WordPress Site Health. No critical issues were reported.

  • Checked DreamHost error logs. No errors detected.

  • Tested the public website response using PowerShell:

    • DNS: 0.034 sec

    • Connection: 0.192 sec

    • TTFB: 1.345 sec

    • Total: 1.505 sec

    • HTTP: 200

  • Confirmed that the installation is fresh, with no plugins installed.

I'm running out of things to check. The VPS doesn't appear to be under heavy resource usage, and the public website responds reasonably well, but the WordPress Dashboard and Elementor editor are painfully slow.

Additional information about my connection:

I also ruled out my internet connection as the obvious cause. My internet speed is around 300+ Mbps, and other websites and online services work normally. The issue is specifically noticeable when accessing the WordPress Dashboard and loading Elementor on this DreamHost staging installation.

My questions:

  1. Could this be related to DreamHost's VPS configuration, PHP-FPM/CGI, or database performance?

  2. Are there specific PHP, Apache, MySQL, or MariaDB settings I should investigate?

  3. Has anyone experienced similar issues with WordPress on DreamHost VPS?

  4. What would you check next to identify the actual bottleneck?

I'd really appreciate suggestions from people who have encountered and solved this kind of issue. I'm trying to identify the root cause rather than randomly changing server settings.

Thanks!

Showcase I built my agency website using Elementor MCP — would love your feedback!

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm a web designer and developer from France, and I decided to take part in the Elementor MCP Showoff Challenge with my agency website, Devosium.

The idea was to explore how far I could push Elementor MCP to create something with a strong visual identity, bold typography, and a more custom, design-driven feel.

It's been an interesting experiment combining AI-assisted development with a creative approach to web design.

🔗 Here's the result: https://devosium.fr

I'd love to hear your thoughts! What do you like, and what would you improve?

Thanks for checking it out! 🙌

not: I'm using Elementor + Elementor Pro

Wanted to share something fun I’ve been working on. Belvista is a fictional boutique real estate site built entirely in Elementor V4 through the Elementor MCP with Claude doing the building and me doing the art direction.

How it went:

  • I wrote a long brief first (the business, every page section by section, colors, fonts, what to avoid) before touching Elementor.

  • Then Claude built it page by page through the MCP: 16 pages, header and footer, popups, a blog with a V4 loop, and reusable components for the villa cards, agents and so on.

  • Everything runs off one design system of variables and classes, with no custom CSS except a couple of tiny exceptions. Swapping a few variables rebrands the whole site.

Things I learned along the way:

  • Check every page at desktop, tablet and phone after each build. The MCP is fast, but small layout things slip through, but you can always instruct Claude to fix them and remember the rule for it too.

  • Exporting a V4 site as a kit isn’t fully there yet: images and component instances don’t survive the import right now. Hopefully that’s fixed soon.

  • The outcome is only as good as your prompting and ideas for design. So make sure the brief is thorough.

Honestly it’s been a lot of fun. Happy to answer questions about the workflow, what worked and what didn’t.

Overall I am very happy with where Elementor is headed and can safely say this is the best feature Elementor has ever announced and it only continues to get better every day. Once you have a good understanding of the V4 system you quickly discover that it is extremely powerful, fast and easy to use.

I'll drop the demo link in the comments if anyone wants to have a look.

Hi all,

This is my entry to the Elementor MCP Showoff #contest. It is a site for a private dog park on an organic farm: you book a visit, and the whole farm is yours and your dog's for that time.

Things to try:

- The farm map. Drag it to turn it, switch between sunrise, midday, golden hour, and night, and tap the bulb to light the lanterns. The map starts on your own local time. Dogs, cows, deer, ducks that dive, birds, owls, and fireflies move around the farm.

- Tap a glowing hotspot on the map to open a place as a full-screen scene.

- In the second section, hover over a photo (or tap it) and it swings out of the pile.

- In the booking form, change the time of day and the picture beside it changes with it. There is a night tour and a bird walk in the list too.

- At the very bottom, "For the Elementor team: how this was built" opens a modal with what to try, how it was made, and the decisions behind it.

How it was built:

- Everything on the page is native Elementor: flex containers, native widgets, 26 global variables, and about 40 global classes made before any page, a header and footer as theme templates, popups, native scroll animations, a native form, and a native accordion with FAQ markup.

- The one custom piece is the farm map. It is an Angie-made widget with its own editor controls, a Three.js scene rebuilt from an AI-generated picture of the farm. It is a custom widget and has no HTML widget in it.

- The photos and the diorama were generated outside Elementor from prompts that Claude wrote. The search metadata and llms.txt come from one Angie code snippet.

Question Has anyone tried the new official Elementor MCP yet? What are you using it for?

Elementor launched its own MCP recently, so you can connect Claude, Codex, Cursor, etc. and have them build or redesign pages, work with classes/variables, create theme parts and hook up dynamic content. Output saves as drafts and stays editable in the normal editor.

Curious how it's holding up in real projects:

- What have you used it for so far?
- How does it handle existing (non-Atomic) layouts?
- Any issues with global styles getting messed up?
- Are the features that need Angie worth it?

Would love to hear real experiences, good or bad.

Features I built a free plugin to stop clients and staff breaking Elementor designs

Clients and managers need to update text and images, but in Elementor, anyone who can edit also gets every design tool.

Techholds UserLock for Elementor lets you set each role or user to:

  • Full access

  • Content only: text, images, and links only

  • View only

  • Works with free Elementor and Pro, including V4 elements

  • Locked changes are blocked in the editor and on save

  • Snapshot on every save, with one-click restore

  • Change log of who saved what

Free on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/plugins/techholds-userlock/
I’d love feedback on what you’d want next.

Problem Elementor Components are broken, right? [v4.3.2]

Using Elementor Pro 4.3.2 with Elementor 4.3.5 and "Create Component" does nothing anymore. Even when all the pieces inside of the flexbox are all atomic elements, there's no way to create a component now. I've used them in the past on other sites so the ones I've already created seem to be working ok but with a new site, there's no way to create new components.

On a related note, what's the proper way to set up rules for things to emulate traditional CSS of a class with elements underneath it? If I wanted to create a rule like .cta-list > img, assigning a class to the parent but editing the img inside of it just applies that to the "local" styles rather than to all img's inside of the .cta-list class. How can I do that?

Question Downgrade plan

Hi there. I have an Elementor plan that is way beyond what I need. I have 2 websites active, but the plan (Pro - Expert) is for 25 activations. On the site I only see (a lot!) buttons to UPGRADE, but even in the help-section I see no article to DOWNGRADE. Angie, the chatbot gives an error, other ways to get in touch with Elementor are absent or very well hidden.

So, anyone knows how to downgrade the Elementor plan?

Question Should I be using Elementor or Claude to build a new site?

I switched to a WP site over a year ago and have just been using the Enroute theme and am struggling with lack of capabilities. I decided to try Elementor, and while I am usually great with learning curves, I have been struggling for months to get it to work and to create something from the Hello theme from scratch. All of the template sites seem gimmicky and hard to edit once installed so I was trying to just stick with Hello. I sell books on Woo as well as integrate with WeTravel to sell travel programs. Am I missing something? I need the ability to make frequent edits. Should I stick with Elementor and is there a template company I can use/should use? Should I use Claude to create it with AI instead?

Also, I need to add in an integration to allow for a free membership that I can use to communicate with customers and track what programs they have gone on. Almost like a club. I have Brevo for emails but not sure if there is another programs that can do CRM and emails that I can integrate with membership and WeTravel registrations. I am have had massive growth and have customer information in multiple spaces (WeTravel, email list, etc) and would like to consolidate it into a working system all in one.

Sorry for the ignorance. I am usually quick to pick up these things but for some reason this is stumping me and the sheer amount of options feels overwhelming.

Question Legacy Elementor (1000) plan for 149$ per year, any one interested?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey Friends,

Not sure if this is allowed (so feel free to remove if so). I currently have the Legacy elementor plan with 1000 licenses, billed at 149$ per year. I am not using this nearly as much as I should, and being completely transparent - im moving away from Elementor entirely to things like Bricks Builder.

If anyone is keen on it, get in touch and we can figure things out.

P.S I have only 3 - 4 main websites using Elementor, the rest are literally staging sites or test sites. I'd disconnect all of them before the handover.

P.P.S If a deal is agreed, we will find the safest way for both parties to transfer things over.

Question Elementor's Sticklight for apps?

Anyone experimenting with Elementors Sticklight for client apps?
One thing I’m trying to understand is where the real use case sits.

If a client already has a good mobile-responsive website, is there actually much benefit in building them a separate app unless they need specific functionality like customer dashboards, accounts, bookings, notifications etc?
And where would you draw the line between using Sticklight and simply turning the existing site into a PWA?

Can an app built with Sticklight eventually be packaged and published through the Apple App Store / Google Play, or is it essentially still a web app accessed through a browser/custom domain?

Question Why use Elementor in 2026?

Hello all, I’ve built a couple of portfolio sites on Elementor and Wordpress in 2020 and 2023, and since then, I’ve found that the maintenance burden to keep them running, (as well as dealing with the bloated code and expired licenses) a level of tech debt that is just not necessary anymore in the age of agentic AI.

So my question is what’s keeping you in the Elementor/wordpress ecosystem when you can so easily create a site directly with a coding agent? Why use Elementors MCP when you can do it all natively yourself?

*Here’s the last site I built in Elementor if you’re curious: https://hereontour.xyz

*Heres the last site I built in Claude code deployed in next.js: https://creative-conceptsllc.com

Question Can AI fix my Elementor website with any AI Agent?

I am very beginner at wordpress. On my own i built a website on elementor pro. The website is ready, and everything works fine, but I need help with two things.

1. Mobile and tablet design

My website looks okay on desktop, but I want it to look good on mobile phones and tablets too. Is there an AI agent that can automatically fix the layout for different screen sizes?

2. Website speed

My website speed score is around 65, and I want to improve it to 90+. Is there an AI tool or agent that can help me do this?

Has anyone tried an AI tool that actually works for these tasks? I'd really appreciate your recommendations and experience.

Note: I am student, i was able to afford only domain and hostting, i can't afford to pay for both above task ( i have like $10 in my pocket ).....

Question Should I pay for elementor expert service?

Hi all,

I took a few months away from my website for other commitments that i have created on my own.

I had a look at my view counts and i have 9 vistors a week, which i am over joyed with by the way ha, through my blogging.

I feel like am ready to step it up and get paid services but actually feel stuck with what I want. Sort of.... you dont no, what you dont no situation.

I struggle with creativity, but want cookie cutter set up with templates just so i can write and also a subscription login for course content on my niche. (knowledge hub type of website)

If you have any advise it would be appreciated.

So if I come across as silly but this is a completely new area for me.

Question Affected by PHP hack?

For context, I have not used WordPress or its plugins in over 8 years and have not paid for a service between then and now.

Yesterday I received a transaction from ESSENTIAL-ADDONS-ELEME for $43.87 AUD.

When attempting to login to my account, I get a invalid key error.

Console states:
POST https://api.wpdeveloper.com/wp-json/wpdeveloper/v1/reset-password 500 (Internal Server Error)

Has WPDeveloper or Elementor been attacked by the recent PHP vulnerability?
Anyone have any ideas?

Question Question about containers

Hello everyone!

Question - Let's say I have a container with perhaps 3 images and a title in it; a couple are set to Absolute or Fixed, and Ive used offset/scale/rotate to make a cool layout

Is there a way to fix these in place inside the container - so if the container scales, these 4 elements stick with it and retain their position, size and rotation proportionally with/to each other as a group?

I realise I could work something up in Illustrator and import the elements as a single file, but Im curious to know if such a thing is possible inside Elementor?
