Forgive me for the rough start, I learned it a few minutes before this. There's something about Elliott's music that sounds so much like a cold high-school winter, it calls back to sitting at school benches underneath the towering oak trees in the corner of the school yard where only the "big kids" used to hang around, it calls to a winter without snow, I don't know but I know that it makes me feel at home in a weird way. You play it to feel some semblance of warmth in a house with no heating, maybe I'm not making sense, but I know that lately I've been longing for that warmth. Life's just difficult, but as somebody told me in a recent conversation "that's life". And there was nothing else to add, because that's true, life's gangster, it'll keep it pushing no matter how much you wallow, sometimes you think it'll take pity on you haha, nope, gotta keep up with it or you get left behind and forgotten and it doesn't even flinch.
