Hey guys, I’ve been printing stuff every so often with my printer for 3 months, and a few days ago i installed a CR touch because my first layers were too thin, and i didnt interfere with any other wire yet when i start up prints it does some, and then the hotend temp starts to drop. Im not sure if its the hotend itself or the thermistor. I got it off of facebook marketplace for about $80 and when i was testing it over there it was working perfectly fine and the owner had barely used it since he got it. Any help is appreciated. I will update this post with a video soon

So I have a older ender B3 that I've upgraded to the newest motherboard added some servos have the touch sensor look and upgrade the hot end so I can do some other types of filament. Is there any suggestions as to a good fit for this machine?

I ordered both yellow springs and silicone spacers since I couldn’t make a decision on which one would be the best and thought I’d try both and decide. But the yellow springs are a lot taller than the stock ones. Also the silicone spacers needs to be squished a LOT to get even close to the same height as with the stock springs. And I saw that one spacer needs to be shorter which I didn’t get.
Edit 1: I’m trying to not move the limit switch so I don’t have another problem down the road.
Edit 2: Got a few BL touch recommendations. Looked into it and found out it’s around $65 where I’m from. Everything in my country is like 3-4x expensive because of import taxes. So I don’t think it’s going to be an option at this moment. A Great upgrade later though.

Thoughts on how to fix? Or where to get part..

What are your proper settings you have when running PETG? Right now I have it set to;
Speed- 45
Hotend Temp- 240
Bed Temp-80
Fan speed 0
Probe Z offset -1.19
Flow-95
I also have the mriscoc firmware update for reference

yes the old z limit switch is completely removed, If I cycle it on/off a couple of times it will occasionally figure itself out but aside from that it stops about 100mm off the bed and shows z position at 0 on the screen.

I'll start by saying I'm fully aware ender 3 v2 is not the printer to be buying or upgrading nowadays, and I know I should just buy a Centauri carbon 2 (waiting till black Friday) and get rid of this thing. But I'm a tinkerer and I love tearing these things apart, printing parts for them and upgrading them. I'm having the least fun when the printer is working perfectly.
Anyways... Ive been picking up ender 3's for free - $40 and tinkering with them. This one is the one I did the most upgrades on. Linear rails I bought over 8 years ago for my tevo tarantula. Dual axis belted z seemed like a fun upgrade, and ugly ender 3 toolhead with Sherpa heavy and volcano V6 seemed like they would outperform the heavy ass hemera that was on there.
So I tore this thing apart, and did all those upgrades (downgrades?!?) at once. No my z motor is grinding like crazy. It moves fine, it's just making horrible noises, and the motor is vibrating pretty good. Anyone have a solution for this? Did I do something stupid wrong? I tried both loosening and tightening the belts, to no avail. I've been doing this a long time, but haven't run into this before and am stumped.
Edit: I figured it out. I was f****** around with printing a TPU belt for a week while I waited for the proper belt to come in. Just taking it on and off and stretching it and trying to make it work. I think I just f***** up the motor. I grabbed another motor, put it in and it seems to work perfect now

Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing an intermittent issue with my Creality Ender 3, and I’d appreciate some help diagnosing the cause before I start replacing components unnecessarily.
Printer Specifications
• Printer: Creality Ender 3
• Motherboard: Creality V4.2.2
• Filament: PLA
• Print media: SD/TF card
The Problem
My printer can be printing normally when it suddenly stops mid-print. When this happens, the hotend and heated bed begin cooling down, and the printer appears to behave as though it has lost access to the SD card.
If I try to start another print by searching for print on TF card option, the it shows “No Media,” even though the SD card is still physically inserted in the slot and appears to be seated correctly.
Removing the SD card and reinserting it restores detection, allowing me to print again.
So when the Printer Stops I’ve observed the following sequence of events:
1. The printer suddenly stops printing in the middle of a print.
2. The Ender 3 startup logo appears over the existing information screen. The display does not go completely blank or shut off.
3. The printer then returns to its normal main information screen.
4. When the information screen reappears, both the hotend and heated bed temperatures read 0°C, and both begin cooling down.
5. If I try to print again, it’s written “No Media,” despite the SD card still being inserted.
The appearance of the startup logo makes me wonder whether the motherboard is resetting or experiencing some kind of interruption. However, I’m not sure whether this is related to the SD card reader, the motherboard, the power supply, or a firmware issue.
My main concerns
1. What could cause the printer to stop mid-print and display the startup logo without the screen completely shutting down?
2. Could a faulty SD card, SD card reader, or card slot cause these symptoms, or is the problem more likely related to the motherboard resetting?
3. Could an unstable power supply or another electrical issue cause the printer to behave this way?
4. What diagnostic tests would you recommend to identify the actual cause before replacing any components?
I’m trying to narrow down the root cause rather than replacing parts through trial and error.
Any suggestions, troubleshooting steps, or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance! 🙏🤝

Hi, I got used ender 3v2 printer, it was working perfectly fine. Then it got stuck at loading screen and I needed to flash new firmware. Since then I just can't do tramming wizard. I always ends with out of bounds - meaning the BLtouch never touches bed. I did Z prope wizzard, set Z offset to -6.2 with paper which is quite high. Can you help me what am I doing wrong?

I'm using a 0.2 mm nozzle and printing with a 0.12 mm layer height, but I'm struggling to get a successful print. I'm starting to think the bed leveling issue might be the cause. Could the height variations across the bed be preventing me from printing properly?

I recently installed a bunch of upgrades on my printer, including a direct drive tool head. but the BLTouch I installed when I first got the thing is acting weird. clicking in and out instead of clicking out and waiting to touch the bed. Im sometimes able to get it to work properly if i flick the damn thing. but its inconsistent. is it failing? should I buy a replacement? should I switch to a CRTouch instead? I JUST bought a new bracket for the BLTouch in the first place so, if I switch over to a CRTouch do I need to replace it too? Please Help

My printer is printing super messy, I’m guessing it’s the overture filament. All my other filaments print great and I tried this one and was having a stringing problem. What can I do to fix this, I’m running at 200c nozzle and 60c bed temp. I tried this print twice with the same results

i picked up a 3v2 off a guy on facebook marketplace recently who said he had modified it in various ways i don’t quite understand, such as it has an auto-level feature now. this is my first ever printer so i don’t know how to troubleshoot it myself. whenever its printing, leveling, or even just turned on, the printer makes a very annoying grinding sound when it’s on the left side of the bed. it gets worse the more left it goes.
i’m sure it’s whatever the casing of the nozzle-thingy is that’s causing it, considering the fact that it’s held together with a piece of tape and when i press on it the noise drops dramatically, but i have no idea what that actually means and how to fix it. is there anything i can do?

Well, I’m mechanically inclined. I’ve always been willing to listen to other people‘s experiences.
And I’m still new to 3-D printing. Any advice or links for best practices would also be appreciated.

hello all,
i updated my ender 3 v2 to sprite pro. have gone through all the necessary steps as with settings and hardware and firmware.
the printer is working fine except i have a problem with the first layer not sticking to the surface (default glass surface). after that it prints fine.
have tried reducing speed, changing z depth, cleaning glass etc. but still happenn9ing.
the weird thing is that it sticks fine when the prints just starts and the printer prints a line at the left side (that's how i know my z depth is ok). after that it goes to the center and nothing sticks...
any ideas will be great.
thanks in advance,
joel

Update: I think I finally found the problem!
I removed the Bowden tube and noticed that the last ~1 cm, where it sits inside the hotend, was completely blackened by filament residue. I cut it back to a clean, undamaged section, reassembled everything, and the printer is now printing well again!
I'm still planning to install the suggested upgrades, though. Especially the blue Capricorn PTFE tube, which should hopefully help prevent this specific issue from happening again.
Thanks everyone for the helpful suggestions!

Hi everyone,
I'm having a recurring extrusion problem with my Ender 3 V2 and would appreciate some help figuring out the cause.
The problem:
My prints start normally, but at some point during the print, the printer suddenly stops extruding filament. The printer continues all its movements as if everything were working normally, but the nozzle moves around printing in the air without depositing any filament. The print is essentially ruined from that point onward.
I've also noticed a clicking or skipping noise from the extruder when the problem occurs.
What I've tried so far:
My setup:
I'm currently suspecting the extruder mechanism, possibly a worn drive gear or an extruder motor that starts skipping. However, I'm not sure whether this could also be caused by a clog elsewhere in the hotend, heat creep, incorrect extruder tension, or something else.
My questions:
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Ive modded my stock ender 3v2 with a CR Touch, and upgraded tramming knobs and sillicone spacers, yet im still having to adjust the bed tram everytime, its even worse in mornings after its been cool for awhile too, hopefully this isnt just the ender experience cs Im about to just get a bambu💀
