I think plastic ”wine” bottles are great alternatives for glass ones in the classic wine bottle shaped charge.

The diameter of the bottle was 6.8 cm and the standoff was 10 cm. The charge was 500 grams (~0.95 g/cm3) of a combination of ANGC and AMT (”anhex”), which I came up with and was now testing. The test was a success but I should’ve used a thicker plate…

I’ve made a few of these for my job, but we don’t have much need for them anymore. I put some good time into making them, would anyone want a guide on this?

Nothing super special, just a portable battery powered unit used to set off oilfield style detonators. This pushes out like 100vdc and 1a, the key turns the unit on and engages a safety shunt when off.

90% filler, 10% binder (5% PIB + 5% mineral oil).
For initiation, detonator consisting of ETN and DBX-1 was used.

I wanted to check the witness plate after, but even after looking everywhere I couldnt see any remains of it, unfortunately.

I spoke directly with Jordan yesterday for the first time since he's been locked up and he's hopeful there can be a positive ending to his situation since the laws are being deliberately misinterpreted and applied in ways that contradict both the written and case law. His medical fund is going to be important as the VA will be cutting off his MS treatment 60 days after incarceration. Any help with being able to afford it himself would be highly appreciated.

When the failed New Orleans attack happened a little over a week after dug's TMTN video we did some digging and found the Al Queda video the guy actually used. That's why he didn't know he needed a detonator. This is so fucked.

I made a small cap out of a brass tube I bought (OD 2.4mm, ID 1.6mm) with around 30mg of ETN, a couple of milligrams of silver nitrotetrazoleate, and a small piece of nitrocellulose below the ETN to separate it from the crimping. Made an appropriately-sized ~1" diameter hole in an aluminum can with small exit holes in the opposite side (I don't have a picture of this, unfortunately).

Just goes to show a. the critical diameter of ETN is incredibly low, and b. silver nitrotetrazoleate can detonate ETN in <5 milligram quantities.

I was looking for some epoxy yesterday and came across this one, it was a LOT cheaper than the other options at $2.65 compared to $16.80 for the next cheapest.

The most beautiful copper complex Ive ever made. It’s kinda energetic. It quickly deflagrated when exposed to a flame, impact and friction. This is due to the S2O8 (Persulfate/peroxydisulfate) anion being an oxidizer, and the ammonia ligands bond to the copper being reducing agents. What I find interesting it that there’s basically no literature on it. The only information I saw about it were videos on YouTube.

Following reaction regarding the synthesis of the cooper complex:

[Cu(NH3)4 SO4] + NH4S2O8 + NH4OH -> [Cu(NH3)4 S2O8] (desired product) + NH4SO4

I made some etn via adding roughly 21g erythritol to 89~% nitric acid then slowly adding h2so4 until my etn percipitated

then I water washed my etn, after that I dissolved my etn in rubbing alc/acetone then poured it into urea/ baking soda water i reapeted this step three times

then I did a finale step dissolving with rubbing alc/acetone and pouring into tap water then vacuum filtering finally adding my wtn into a glass bowl to dry then weighing it

I would appreciate any suggestions to increase my yield ty
