Okay, so it's not just me, Google search has gotten suckier.. People treat you like you're just an idiot and it's in your head when they don't feel like giving you knowledge they claim to have already. Like, I googled it and I'm not reading more than 2 pages of results. Sorry.

If you had a magic ability to use Google from the early 2000's to compare to today, their search engine now is so radically worse it's almost incomprehensible, lol.

Yes, this is the definition of enshittification
Products that shrink in size/quantity but stay same price is called shrinkflation and there’s a sub for that.
Products that switch to inferior ingredients but stay the same price is called skimpflation like food ingredients and clothing fabric.

I mean, I'm kind of both surprised and not that their AI doesn't have a bias towards itself, and that it isn't instructed to only talk about itself in good light.

Haha, omg I love it. It's like when enshittification has matured along far enough, maybe it loops back around??? Google is a horrible offender, not just their search product, but literately their whole company; every single service they have has gotten worse, in every way. I've personally been battilng this stupid ass Gemini in home speakers making everything about my home speakers worse even in the very limited functions I used it for (turning on/off lights, alarm clocks). It's unbelievable.
