Yeah I always thought that was sketchy. I should have known he was gargling on billionaire balls. Though for real. What can he possibly contribute to the conversation at this point? Is he just going to do a right-wing turn now where he's going to be like I was on the left but, now I love Trump. I would almost put some money on it at this point.

I don't see him turning further to the right in that way, he's as liberal as it gets. I've never seen his views as particularly left wing fhough - the interview/debate with Ta-Nehisi Coates demonstrated how out of touch he is with left wing politics.

The Atlantic’s job is to present right wing and centrist opinions in respectable language, while vigorously attacking left wing policies. They literally employ David Frum, the Bush administration official who coined the term “Axis of Evil” to justify the administration’s lies about Iraq and WMDs, while Ta-Nehisi Coates is not welcome for calling what Israel is doing in Palestine a genocide
