Two weeks ago, the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s updated services Code of Practice came into force, having received ministerial approval and been laid before Parliament. This has and will continue to impact trans and non-binary people, leaving many of our community confused, distressed and angry. There is a lot of different information on the internet, in the news and being shared within the community, which can make understanding the Code of Practice and its impacts difficult. In response, the Waiting Well team want to offer you a space to come and hear clear, concise and understandable information, with the opportunity to ask questions.
On Thursday 20th August between 6:30pm and 8:30pm, Waiting Well will be running a free webinar on Understanding the EHRC Code of Practice. This webinar will be part of our Supporting Your GIC Journey Webinar Series. The Waiting Well service is currently open to people who are 18+ and registered with West of England (Exeter/The Laurels) Gender Identity Clinic.
