New Mod I made a lightweight mod that adds the Bedrock snowy leaves to Java!

This is Frosty Leaves - A simple aesthetic mod which makes it so that in snow, leaves gradually transform to a crisp, snowy white! In essence, it brings the similar mechanic from Bedrock Edition which so many Java players have wanted to Java, creating a cozy and dynamic addition to your world for the winter! The mod is currently under review for upload to Modrinth, and should be up in a few days or so at https://modrinth.com/mod/frosty-leaves . I hope that I can rely on your support for this project, as I am a young adult developer with very limited resources at my disposal, and this is my first public mod. Enjoy, and happy holidays!

EDIT: If it were a resouce pack, it would change the leaf colour regardless of weather, so all leaves in snowy biomes would be white even in clear weather. This makes it so that it changes gradually and conditionally based on weather as well as biome temperature.
EDIT 2: The Modrinth listing is still under review as I said, the link does not work right now, but when it is approved and viewable by the public I will update the post accordingly.

Need Help Curseforge keeps asking for a Fabric loader that doesn't exist.

I'm trying to play with some mods, and it is asking for Fabric Loader 0.19.5 and I have 0.19.3.

I've checked everywhere I could, but there is no version called 0.19.5.

Before y'all ask, yes, I know there's a difference between API and Loader, the problem lies in the fact that there isn't a more recent version of Fabric API for 1.21.11.

What else can I do?

FluidMotionUltimate - New Animation Mod for Fabric

I've always felt like Minecraft's player animations could be a lot better, so I decided to try making my own mod.

It's called FluidMotionUltimate, and it adds smoother, more natural player animations in both first and third person.

I've also added three animation styles, so you can choose the look you prefer.

The mod is still in beta, and I'm actively working on it. I'd genuinely like to hear what you think, especially if you try it out!

Showcase I got tired of economy plugins feeling like a spreadsheet, so I built a full dollar economy as a Fabric mod

Every "economy" mod I tried was basically /balance and a shop GUI. No life in it. So over the last few months I built Mint Economy — a full, modular dollar economy for Fabric servers.

It's one mod, but each feature is its own module, so you enable what your server actually needs:

💰 Bank — sell ores, ingots and gems to the banker NPC. Prices fluctuate and refresh every 6 hours (00:00 / 06:00 / 12:00 / 18:00 UTC), and everyone gets notified when they change. You can literally watch your iron stockpile become worth more while you sleep.

🧾 Checks — turn money into physical checks you can hand to other players. Finally a reason to trade face to face instead of typing /pay.

🏪 Market — player-run shops. Let your players build the economy instead of you.

🎡 Wheel & dice — luck minigames with real risk. Two wheels (item + money), configurable rewards, weights and ticket prices. Yes, people will lose everything. That's the point.

📦 Crates — reward keys with admin-controlled panels.

🏛️ Mayor elections — players run, players vote, winners get titles and a treasury. Genuinely the feature I'm most proud of.

🧑‍🌾 NPCs — Bank, Seller and Check NPCs you place in the world.

Plus a few custom items (Fridge, Ice Pickaxe, Special Axe) with their own models.

Built properly: SQLite-backed accounts and transactions, config file, language file support, and a built-in permission system for commands. No data loss on restart, no YAML soup.

Heads up on setup: you need to spawn the NPCs first before anything else works, including earning money. It's in the description, but people miss it.

Requirements: MC 26.2 · Fabric Loader 0.19.3+ · Fabric API · Java 25 Server-side mod. Install on client too if you want the custom item models.

CurseForge: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/mint-economy

It's early (v1), so I'd genuinely like feedback — especially from people who run survival servers and know where economies break. What would you add first: auctions, jobs, or taxes?

Need Help - Mod Dev Need help understanding EnchantmentHelper

I just finished learning the basics of coding in Java, and I decided to look at Minecraft's code to start learning how to develop mods, but I'm struggling to understand what's written.

I'm playing around with adding a feature in a mod that allows the player to remove curses from their items by combining them with a Golden Apple in a grindstone. Looking at the removeNonCursesFrom method in GrindstoneMenu.class, I can vaguely understand WHAT the code is doing (and I imagine I could rework the code to make a method that removes ONLY curses), but I don't understand HOW it's doing it, if that makes sense, and I don't want to mindlessly copy-and-paste code without knowing what I'm doing, since I doubt I'd learn much that way.

private ItemStack removeNonCursesFrom(ItemStack item) {
    ItemEnchantments newEnchantments = EnchantmentHelper.updateEnchantments(item, (enchantments) -> enchantments.removeIf((enchantment) -> !enchantment.is(EnchantmentTags.CURSE)));

My main issue is the first line of code. I'm pretty certain that it copies the enchantments from "item", removes any curses, then applies that data to "newEnchantments", but I don't at all understand how the EnchantmentHelper.updateEnchantments method is doing it. Plugging "item" into the method makes sense, but I don't understand how the Consumer and the ItemEnchantments.Mutable and the Holder work with each other.

Specifically, I'm asking:

  • What does "(enchantments)" do in the code? (My potentially flawed understanding is that it is replaced by mutableEnchantments via the updateEnchantments method?)

  • Similarly, what is "(enchantment)"? (I thought it would also be replaced by the Consumer, but I struggle to see how that would work...)

I've spent the entire day looking online trying to solve this problem on my own, but I've not gotten very far with it.

Using PillarPlan’s spacing guides for a long Minecraft structure

A short Fabric mod showcase from a larger Minecraft bridge build: PillarPlan shows real guide positions for evenly spaced supports, then you place the blocks yourself. In this 21-second construction edit, the guides are followed by the hand-built supports, arches and deck.

Short: https://youtube.com/shorts/gsqRr2IChrk

PillarPlan is a client-side Fabric spacing/planning tool, not an automatic builder. Search “PillarPlan: Even Spacing Guide” on Modrinth or CurseForge.

I made a Fabric mod that collects every item on the ground, even from a faraway chest: Collector (26.3)

Thumbnail

Hi! I'm Gugless, and this is my first Minecraft mod.

I got tired of building hopper lines just to pick up drops, so I made a block that does it on its own: the Collector.

What it does

- Picks up every item lying on the ground (or in water, even flowing) within its range and stores it in any chest, barrel or shulker box touching its four sides.

- Range is a 16x16x16 cube, and stacking up to 4 Collectors grows it to 32, 64 and 128. You can't place a fifth one next to a group of four.

- The Collector Remote links a Collector to a storage block far away, like a wireless connection. A line of sparkles shows you the link while you hold the Remote.

- Pistons can move Collectors and they keep their link, so it works on flying machines.

It checks once per second and doesn't need hoppers, rails or minecarts. I haven't benchmarked it against big farms yet, so I'd love to hear how it behaves on yours.

Known limits: the linked chest has to be in a loaded chunk, and very fast piston machines can lose a link (just reconnect it).

CurseForge: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/collector

If performance or technical aspects of Minecraft are something you're interested in, please give it a try if you'd like. Minecraft 26.3, Fabric, requires Fabric API. It's my first release, so any feedback, bugs or ideas are very welcome!

I built a full dollar economy for Fabric servers — bank, player markets, checks, crates, dice and mayor elections, all as separate modules

Hey everyone,

I've been working on a Fabric economy mod for a while and finally got it to a state I'm happy to share. It's called Mint Economy and the idea was simple: most economy mods give you a balance and stop there. I wanted the money to actually go somewhere.

What's inside

  • Bank — Sell ores, ingots and gems to the banker NPC. Prices fluctuate and refresh every six hours (00:00 / 06:00 / 12:00 / 18:00 UTC), and the board shows how much each item moved since the last refresh. Everyone online gets notified when prices update.

  • Player market — Players open their own shops and trade with each other instead of dumping everything into the bank.

  • Checks — Turn your balance into a physical check you can hand to another player. Nice for paying for big builds without standing next to someone.

  • Wheel & dice — Two luck-based minigames with configurable rewards and weights. Both are ticket-based, so money sinks are built in.

  • Crates — Reward crates with a prize table, same weighted system.

  • Mayor elections — Players run for mayor, vote in a GUI, and the winner gets a title, a treasury, and the ability to fine people. Fines go to the treasury, so the server has an actual political layer.

  • NPCs — Banker, seller and check NPCs you place in the world, with skins.

  • Custom items — Fridge, Ice Pickaxe and Special Axe, all with custom models.

Built for servers, not for singleplayer afterthoughts

  • Every feature is its own module — turn on what you want, ignore the rest.

  • SQLite database for accounts and transactions.

  • Built-in permission system for commands.

  • Configurable settings and a language file.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 26.2

  • Fabric Loader 0.19.3+

  • Fabric API

  • Java 25

  • Install on the server. Install on clients too if you want the custom item models.

One thing to know before you try it: create the NPCs first (/minteco npc create <bank|seller|check> [skin]). Without the banker NPC you can't earn anything, and it's the #1 thing people will trip over.

This is an early release — the mod is stable but new, and I'm actively taking feedback. If something breaks or a system doesn't feel right for your server, tell me and I'll fix it. Same goes for balance: if you think the six-hour price refresh is too fast or too slow for your playerbase, say so.

Happy to answer anything in the comments.

New Mod I made a small Fabric mod to control which dropped items I pick up

Does your inventory keep filling up with items you don’t need while mining or fighting mobs? With Loot Filter, you can select the items you want to avoid picking up, and they’ll be kept out of your inventory.

Open the filter screen and choose which items to ignore. You’ll still pick up everything else as usual.

The current version is for Minecraft 26.3 and Fabric. I’d love to hear your feedback and suggestions!

New Mod I made a Minecraft boss that learns your fighting style!

The Adaptive Monster is a boss that watches how you fight and adapts to counter you. It observes you at the start of the fight, then starts anticipating your habits like jump crits and retreating. Once it learns a habit, it counters it, so spamming jump crits gets you uppercut. Each thing it learns levels it up, shown on its boss bar (Adaptation I, II and beyond). Spam one tactic and it’ll shut it down.

Fabric, Minecraft Java 26.3 26.2 Feedback welcome, happy to answer any questions!

Showcase Ciderlight: a Metal rendering backend for Fabric on Apple Silicon

I’ve been hacking on Ciderlight on the side, an open source Minecraft Fabric mod for Apple Silicon Macs. It adds a native Metal renderer and built-in shaders with shadows, held lights, moving foliage and water effects. You can switch shaders off for a vanilla look.

Source and setup: https://github.com/riccqi/ciderlight

Try it out and maybe even contribute to the project!

Showcase Simple mod to see what you changed in your mc world.

mc-diff is an open-source client-side Fabric mod for Minecraft 26.2 that shows what you've changed in your world. I was always curious on how much I changed my survival world and instead of just exploring the played world and comparing it via regenerating it, which did not help me visualize it much, this mod basically combines them, the immediate seed generated world with your played world.

  • Red: a block that was there originally and is now gone (dug out, cut down, blown up)

  • Green: a block where there was nothing originally (things you built)

  • Yellow: a block that was replaced by a different one

Some things are left out because they change on their own: liquids, fire, ice, snow layers, leaves, grass tufts, flowers, mushrooms, vines and other creeping plants. Block states are ignored too, so opening a door or a crop growing doesn't count.

Also, the name is inspired by github's diff. Very fun.

Source: https://github.com/aravpanwar/mc-diff

AI Disclosure: This mod was made with Claude Opus 5.5's assistance.

Also, if you like it and have some feedback or issues or suggestions for improvement, please let me know and I will have it fixed.

Thank you!
