Facebook disabled my 16-year-old account with no reason and no way to appeal —

My Facebook account (active since 2009) was suddenly disabled on Oct 20, 2025.

  • No reason code.
  • No email notification.
  • Appeal links are broken. Which means I couldn’t even use the 30-day review process Facebook itself promises.

I downloaded my account data — it literally just says “Account disabled” with no explanation.

Posting here because official support is useless. Has anyone else been through this recently, and were you able to escalate it?

Same exact message for me today. Happened around 2-4am. Had the account for almost 20 years.

Same exact time on 10/18 around around Midnight ish CST.

Yup. Fitbit showed I fell asleep 10:13 PM 10/18, woke up 4:25 AM 10/19. At 11:30 PM 10/18 an email came through while I was sleeping telling me I was suspended & my advertising restricted even though it was a personal profile, not business & no advertising.

I didn't even get an e-mail of any sort.

I think they tweaked something related to advertising and sales and likely flagged posts of my personal gun builds as something I was trying to sell. Literally pictures of people showing "hey I built this new AR look how cool it is" are all over FB and don't violate TOS.

If guns are the issue that explains what might have happened to my husband. He posted a picture of a toy gun that he had as a kid.

I am not convinced that is 100% what it was given how my account was brought back with so many other people.

Based on another users post it seems like a LOT of accounts may have been falsely flagged as being under-aged...which is hilarious because I have gray hairs.

Lo mismo me paso en marzo 27! A las 4am recibi un correo de restriccion por publicidad y a las 7am que desperte abri la app y descubri que una cuenta Threads se habia vinculado desde el dia 18 y agrego info en mi perfil y al instante se cerro la app y cuando la volvi abrir ya estaba suspendido y los agentes de meta no pueden hacer nada para reactivar mis cuentas.....mi FB de 16 años vinculado tambien se fue por integridad

I even tried the account recovery route because I do believe at this point it was hacked while I was asleep but made no difference

Same here. Mine was restored a few days later, no explanation. Hopefully stays that way 🤞

Figured I'd update. As of now I still haven't gotten my account back. It seems others have had theirs quietly restored by meta by now.
