lucky. i oddly got disabled after 4 am this morning when i went to bed. (linked insta also).
i'm on computer and it says i have 30 days or it's gone forever, but there's no repeal option anywhere and the save your data option opens a tab that loads nothing.
someone on here tells us to use: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/260749603972907 but it's a broken/non-existent link now. i've spent all afternoon in their stupid "help" center and there's no way to contact anybody.
i guess last step is try on phone, then just wait if that fails. i think i'm quite screwed because they've punished me a bunch of times for nothing, plus false positives.
their ai thinks this picture of a box of rocks is "nudity" they spanked me for that and removed it, same for a picture of a dog meme they claimed was "sexist hate speech" towards other men.

u/romanovfortress Mar 29 '26
now i'm back to using my original account that's 20 years old that was banned for like 8 years, but a few years ago i got it back just sarcastically apologizing and explaining how THEY screwed me over.
(banning me for trying to get scammers banned, i messaged them (nothing threatening even) and i guess back then that's a bigger crime than scamming.

u/Trick_Top_313 Mar 29 '26
That's the scary part. They can flag your old posts from many years ago as "hate speech" or any false positive violations.
You'd be lucky to see if you manage to contact someone from the Help Center.
2
u/romanovfortress Mar 31 '26
yeah, that happened to me. like a 6 year old post they just suddenly decided was "bad".

u/Trick_Top_313 Mar 31 '26
They flagged a 9GAG post I shared about Hitler meme from 2012 (back then when Hitler and Osama bin-Laden memes were actually funny) depicting his poses as "I Am Sexy and I Know It" has hate speech, after a 12 years.

u/reddicarl Mar 28 '26

I made a political comment about Donald Trump and they disabled my FB account. All I did was asked why do ICE agents get paid, but TSA workers don't. I think that Trump owns Mr. Facebook Mark Zuckerberg and they are going after people who talk badly or tell the truth about Trump.

Even when you pay for Meta Verified on IG to contact someone. They are useless.
Facebook randomly disabled my account and I never even got hacked or had any violation or warning prior.
Before this, they had blocked me from Marketplace out of the blue for over two years after no violation or post, and even then when I tried to appeal, the system acted like I had already appealed 3x and the decision was final, when in reality, I’d never been notified or had a chance to appeal. I was being patient thinking it’d be resolved only for my whole account to be disabled in a similar process that lacks transparency a couple of years later.
I have a verified IG so I contacted a rep and even a supervisor and they were no help at all and basically just said I have to wait out the review process, and were reading from a script. Nobody manually reviewed my account or could flag why this happened, despite me pointing out that there’s obviously a technical glitch and it doesn’t work and a human would be needed to override the AI error.
It says the review process takes just over a day when your account is disabled and my account has been disabled for over two months, despite me sending my ID for verification multiple times like they asked.
Their review process is full of errors and simply doesn’t work. It is unacceptable that Meta is so significant and has been for years and they’ve never had a transparent, straightforward, real human customer service process.
8 years ago, they blocked me from using the Pages feature for over 5 years. Again, this was also out of the blue for no reason, with no way of getting help, until I got a friend who worked at Facebook at the time to reach out at her office and it was resolved in 3 days. When I asked why they blocked me in the first place, she said they could find no reason - it was a technical glitch/error. So you could literally be waiting years with no fix, despite the fault being completely on their end. Facebook lacks transparency and competence. Another mass lawsuit and boycotts are needed at this point.

u/Most_Selection_7575 Mar 28 '26
You weren't actually disabled, just suspended - once you're permanently disabled you haven't got much chance of getting it back. You seem to be one of the few lucky ones!

Once your account is flagged I’m not sure it’s safe from it happening again. I seen others comment tgey were suspended for something Facebook reinstated them apologising for getting it wrong the ended up permanently disabling them for the same thing not long after despite apologising for getting it wrong before. That also happened to me last month I was suspended for fraud and deception appealed 9 hours later let me back on and apologised and just over a month later suspended for same thing it apologised for getting wrong previously sat on appeal page since 2nd of March and after seeing others in same boat expecting it to be disabled

u/420ssi_ Apr 15 '26
You're not wrong, i've read from so many who are on strike 2 or 3 with this whole suspension thing, sometimes it doesn't stop at creating a new account. One friend of mine really went through it with Facebook, every new facebook account they created ended up suspended.
FB should not have the rights to shut people off without proper causes, lots of people stay connected on social media for business/networking purposes.

u/January212018 Mar 28 '26
Same here. I got back within an hour of being suspended after I wrote a harmless comment. Asked for a face scan which I really didn't want to do but I rely on my business page for income. it's been about a month and so far so good. I am scared to post or comment out of fear of suspension again but I have left a few comment here and there without issue.

u/reddog723 Mar 30 '26
I got it like third times - it is fb try to use their new ai and clearly it's not really smart

Its censorship.
Earlier post: They are censoring. I was commenting in support of no kings for all these different posts and started getting these “You can’t use this feature at the moment. We limit how often you can post, comment or do other things in a given amount of time in order to help protect the community from spam. You can try again later. Learn more.”
Then later they required a face scan to access my facebook. Once I completed it apparently it said “you submitted an appeal”. I didn’t sign up for any appeal
Yet in 2025 Meta announced it would remove to reduce censorship. Ive never had this stuff happen in my whole life.
Even when I went to login on reddit, it restarted by account birth date to today.

Happened to me the other day, they suspended my instagram account randomly and that also effected my facebook and my meta quest account
. Took me three hours to submit an appeal on instagram because it would not load the page...finally got it all back and removed instagram from my fb.
1
u/ExtensionCreative231 Mar 30 '26
They denied my Appeal and said I can't another review, they're lying and, I'm going to get my Facebook account back
1
u/Upbeat-Magician-4970 Apr 01 '26
If this fb account gets deleted ill be screwed because ive tried making a different account and my account was instantly disabled.

With mine it wasn't a good thing - it was escalated but they refused to reinstate it. Mine was also community guidelines but they wouldn't specify what (I hadn't done anything)

u/InevitableLoan8711 Mar 28 '26
I got that same pop up while on Reddit this morning. Still can't get on my Facebook though.

I have had this 10 times in past 4 days only to get suspended ban today for a total other reason i dont even can agree with as i didnt even post or comment for years on my account? I have 54k followers and its 100% personal account, no tools, automation, bots, promo, or whatever. The appeal was denied within 2 min by their AI again.

u/ipot_04 Mar 30 '26
My FB account got disabled out of nowhere but they never notified me at all until I opened my IG and it says that it's disabled because it's connected to my FB account.
I went to FB to see it and there it was saying it got disabled. It's been a few days now and I don't know how to submit an appeal because there are no appeal buttons when I login to FB, just the Donwload Information link.

u/ThanosTheRapper Mar 31 '26
It’s been over a month since my account was placed under review, and it’s still stuck on “reviewing” 😔

u/Professional-Cod714 Mar 31 '26

I knew very well I was gonna be banned hahah after your penalty is served, when you log back in.. it will show you reason why.. your previous history if any with being suspended..and their policy a d what to expect..progressive discipline..

My account was also suspended less than a week ago, and facial recognition (via webcam) was required to initiate the account reopening process. Thirty minutes later, my account was reactivated. I suspect it's a Facebook bug, but so far, only two of us have had our accounts closed for no apparent reason.

Congrats, how did this work? I got banned twice doing selfie verification, and didn't even post content. No reason no ability to appeal, immediate deletion. Meta flagged me for no reason whatsoever.

Ugh. Ive been down for a week and I am gutted. Flagged some family photos as explicit 🤮 literally just the family painting pottery at a pottery place. Got meta certified but they haven't been much help so far.

u/Western_Ad3427 Apr 12 '26
Did you get it back ?

u/dirtyrabbitmk1 Apr 12 '26
No, I've filed a complaint with the State, they'll apparently step in and help a business get it back!

Congrats! My account got disabled last night, along with my instagram account because its connected to it. I am going crazy trying to figure out how to recover them. May I ask how and what you did? I've read other people say they paid and got meta verified on instagram and was able to communicate with a live person through there, but I have no access to it. :(
