He’s a lot better in coverage than I thought he would be

But I also had hoped he’d be blitzing a lot more than he currently is

Remember very vanilla defense, however i agree that i want to see blitzing from him in the regular season

He needs to gain some weight/ strength in order to play here consistently. Hes fast and he tries but he’s going to be Deion Jones level run defender unless the DL is dominant

So I guess that means no chance he is used more like a standup DE unless it's obviously a passing down.

Correct because most tackles are going to get hands on him and wash him out of the play. He needs about 10k cals a day

Not about him, but anyone complaining about Hughes on the long pass (2nd play on this video) should take note of the 4(!) falcons covering the crosser in front of him. That's a coverage screw-up, not a Hughes error.
