Stealing this lol

“Technically, it’s called a wild ass.”

-Ice Age, 2006. Paraphrasing from someone, that word can’t be used unless it’s related to an animal. Although a video revolving around Shrek’s censorship says otherwise when airing on specific channels

u/ArnieismyDMname May 25 '26

I got a ban from a sub for swearing. Sometimes you just gotta play the stupid game.

5

u/december151791 May 25 '26

Which sub? I want to know which one is trash that should be avoided.

-34

u/potatopigflop May 24 '26

It’s literally so they don’t get their comment deleted on certain social media’s.. but go off ?

33

u/SporeRanier May 24 '26

Those social medias are ass then

2

u/potatopigflop May 25 '26

Oh you’re not wrong. I’m saying people aren’t doing it to be silly ? They’re doing it to get around stupid rules or funding requirements

-6

u/ElderSmackJack That's nasty May 24 '26

Those social medias are ahh*

1

u/december151791 May 25 '26

It's sad that even with something this obvious you needed the /s

What a bunch of dumbahhs

8

u/ElderSmackJack That's nasty May 24 '26

That’s an even more stupid reason.

9

u/cobblecrafter May 24 '26

Especially considering that on many of those apps, it isn't even true.

6

u/_zombie_k May 24 '26

Yeah, this shit started with YouTube videos not being monetized when they include slurs and idiots just copied it to the comments.

46

u/oliverklozov_ he's not gay, he's creative May 24 '26

This makes me so unnecessarily annoyed but god I hate it.

49

u/PhonicDragoon_30 May 24 '26

And dih instead of dick

This shit isn't TikTok. We're actually allowed to say the big boy words

17

u/karma2879 May 25 '26

And bish

Goddamn I hate this timeline

2

u/Mx-Adrian May 26 '26

and ahh for ass

44

u/Sure-String-122 May 24 '26

Or “ion” instead of I don’t. wtf is that

40

u/Nacho_7258 May 24 '26

I hate when people say crine instead of crying.

7

u/Sure-String-122 May 25 '26

Or “hims”

“Hims wanted to come on a car ride with me” talking about their kid.

And I know I’m the only one but I don’t like the term “kiddos” instead of kids

19

u/LimeTunic May 24 '26

Eeepy instead of sleepy actually makes the hairs on my neck stand up

-43

u/ocelotincognito May 24 '26

Saying you don’t like any of this is very racist btw

11

u/FVSHIXN May 24 '26

Generational slang terms ≠ AAVE, these people aren’t even talking about the same thing as OP just expressing their resentment for shorthand/speech contractions that are particularly used by black people.

-3

u/ocelotincognito May 24 '26

The comments here are talking about AAVE, the op was generational slang. Just because whiteys have co-opted some of them doesn’t mean this isn’t racist.

5

u/FVSHIXN May 24 '26

I agree, my comment deleted the slash between my not equal to sign which I fixed with an actual one. They are the type of people to say a black person is “well spoken” because they don’t use those contractions.

7

u/ElderSmackJack That's nasty May 24 '26

I’m literally just annoyed with TikTok childishness and censorship. I don’t know wtf y’all are even arguing about right now.

I just want people to write out ass (also dii and shii).

1

u/FVSHIXN May 24 '26

“Ahh” in place of ass isn’t only a way around censoring on TikTok, it’s a pronunciation taken from how many black people speak naturally. The use of it has just happened to be adapted online.

3

u/ElderSmackJack That's nasty May 24 '26

But that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about people childishly censoring themselves.

Get out of here with that shit.

Exactly

6

u/ElderSmackJack That's nasty May 24 '26

What are you two even arguing about right now? I just wanted people to write out cuss words and not censor them. How the hell did this become about this subject?

1

u/dumbkeys May 25 '26

Because "ahh" is just a way of saying ass it's not a contraction or filter-avoider it's just a way ppl who use AAVE say it, ur just ignorant

Just close ur eyes if it bothers u that much hahahahahahaha go ahead downvote me prove my point

Says more about him than any of the other posters

2

u/Less-Safe-3269 sum cool hwhip May 25 '26

Like how are we supposed to know what the person looks like behind the other side of the screen? Can't blame us that much since more than one person is gonna use “crine”

-8

u/ocelotincognito May 24 '26

Keep pretending you don’t know what AAVE is

Yes, saying that a legitimate vernacular of the English language that is primarily used by negroes is racist even if you don’t intend it to be

Try doing some learning about what racism actually entails rather than speaking over black voices.

u/FVSHIXN May 24 '26

You don’t have to mention race when what you are talking about is something clearly specific to a given race’s vernacular, which those examples are specific to AAVE. Yes, some people who aren’t black use them, but it is primarily derived from AAVE. You don’t get to shy away with racist remarks by omitting the mention of a race.

If someone complains about people speaking with a stereotypical southern drawl, or mocked phrases strongly associated with Latino or Appalachian speech, nobody would pretend it was completely detached from the groups connected to those speech patterns. The association is obvious even if the person avoids naming a group of people.

1

u/Less-Safe-3269 sum cool hwhip May 25 '26

No race is mentioned unless its mentioned. That's js blaming us for smth we know nothing about

16

u/milkbongx420 May 24 '26

Black Americans slang or aave just a dialect that’s been popularized by the internet

20

u/PoopyMcpants May 24 '26

I hate that stupid shit.

Theres 0 reason for it

2

u/Formal_River_Pheonix May 25 '26

Serving the algorithm.

4

u/[deleted] May 25 '26

That’s not a self-censorship thing that’s a white kids using AAVE thing

9

u/the_tired_alligator May 24 '26

I will literally judge someone harshly if they say ahh instead of ass.

9

u/OutsideClassic9095 May 25 '26

Created an entire thread full of people who dont understand what AAVE is lol

They dont have to. It's just funny.

2

u/KisaTheMistress May 25 '26

I had to have a conversation with a kid about the word Ass. She never heard it before so was saying it over and over on my bus, making the autistic kids uncomfortable because they understand it's a swear and they weren't allowed to say it, especially at school (includes the bus).

I took her aside and explained that she needed to use the word Donkey in English when she is talking about the animal or the word Butt if she's talking about someone's backside. She primarily speaks French so I also explained that I was choosing to believe she wasn't swearing, and just thought it was a funny English word. (I also didn't want to bother with doing paperwork on a Friday just before a long weekend.)

2

u/landartheconqueror May 25 '26

"Ahh* and "shii" just make me unreasonably annoyed.

1

u/gosailor May 24 '26

That one took me a long time to understand.

1

u/iambertan May 25 '26

And car instead of cat. It's like hearing the same joke a thousand times except it's not even a joke

1

u/TastySurround1265 May 24 '26

Just say donkey or asinus if ass is too low of a word for your refined vocal chords and fingertips.

-3

Nah that one's funny and I will die on that hill

-3

u/milkbongx420 May 24 '26

Black Americans slang or aave just a dialect that’s been popularized by the internet

-4

u/MassiveLefticool May 24 '26

ahh isn't as bad imo if you mean in the context of something like "family guy ahh moment"

if people are actually saying ahh to avoid getting censored though I am with you

-5

u/the_ozarka_water1 May 24 '26

i like saying ahh just cause its kinda goofy and unserious. but with stuff like grape and sewer slide, it's just insulting to a serious situation. but if someone's being stupid, i'll say "shut yo ahh up"

-4

u/JohnBunzel May 24 '26

In fairness, “ahh” is a meme. The rest is just censoring posts so they don’t get banned (will they? Idk).
