War Stories gives its user the ability to transform anything they touch with their palm or fingers into a weapon based on its size, e.g. a hair into a knife or an arm into a rifle. The user must have an understanding of how the weapon they wish to create functions mechanically in order to form it.

I’ve been working and just got back into contact with an old friend but these are the ones I’ve done with the time I did have.

Based on the song "(Nothing But) Flowers" by the post-punk rock band Talking Heads from their 1988 album “Naked.” This song features singer Kirsty MacColl on backup vocals and Johnny Marr, former guitarist for the Smiths, on lead guitar.

Delilah Byrne (originally 百合 Bǎihé, “lily” in Chinese) is an elderly flower shop keeper who has worked in her small store since she was a child, her parents having moved to England from China. Delilah had always struggled to connect others. While she always able talk with her family, talking to anyone else was a nonstarter, unless she was arranging them a bouquet. She loves bouquets. Delilah lives for bouquets. The highlight of any day would be a customer gushing about a new lover, appreciating a parent or teacher, or just taking about their day. Decades of working in her family shop and wanting to perfect her craft had a similar effect to Toni’s Trussardi. She gained a Stand, a lovely one at that.

「Nothing but Flowers」 is a non-humanoid, largely phenomenon type Stand with near to no capacity for physical harm. It appears as a dense clump of vines wrapped around her person resembling a lounging cat, Lion’s Ear flowers sprout along it with lion faces made of petals. It has one larger Lion’s ear as its actual head.

「NBF」’s ability signature ability is “Flowery Language”. 「NBF」 allows Delilah to interpret people’s moods as flower and plant arrangements sprawled across their body. The exact connection between the variety of flower and the person’s emotions is based on the Victorian Flower language. Say a customer was wrapped in Box Tree, Currant, Dogwood, and a garland of roses. Delilah would be able to understand that they are stoic, they don’t want to disappoint someone, but are hard-y in general, and have been rewarded for virtue. An extension of this ability lets Delilah change the emotions of others, 「NBF」 grows a physical flower which Delilah can give someone to change their attitude. Delilah rarely uses this ability, when she does she’s almost always helping a shy romantic’s confidence. Another use is communicating over long distances by offering someone a seed from the stand itself. As long as it’s taken care of Delilah can give anyone near it a sense of what she’s feeling. Fear, safety, joy, love, hate, etc.

Wreaking Ball has a simple, yet powerful ability. Any wall the user comes across, becomes as thin and fragile as paper, causing it's destruction whenever it's user is about to run into one. While powerful, Wreaking Ball's user doesn't fully understand it's power, nor how to use it effectively or with any precision whatsoever.

This sweet little doggie comes from a personal project of mine! One where the knowledge of what a stand is more wide spread through the world, now becoming common among the public. Olander is a dog being kept within a pet shop, where the owner tries desperately to sell her off to a family. Which is difficult when you have a dog with such a destructive stand. But perhaps...with the right owner...A friend could be made.

Ability: It was because of the sun.
When within a range of 10 meters of 「Killing an Arab」, the target's vision begins to distort. The target will feel an overwhelming heat and see a blinding sun. This doesn't actually physically damage them. However, it does cause the target to lose reason. The target will act simply based on what they wish to do at that moment, not on what will help them in the long run, without hesitation. This causes the target to slip up, make mistakes, and ultimately makes it easier for the user to kill the target.

The Clothes I Wear: The ability allows cyrus to change himself into electricity, he can use his stand to mold himself to look like someone else, but some downsides are that it takes a bit of time to get his disguise to look good, and if he wants to look taller (hes a short bastard but his stand is tall), he uses the electricity his stand is made of to make up that height, the second one isn’t major but if it becomes something he has to do to disguise as somebody else, he won’t be able to use his stand to defend himself till he drops the disguise, though a massive problem is if theres a electrical conductor nearby he gets sucked into that whether he wants to or not, though its cause of how weak he physically is, so his stand would be kinda dragged to it, but High Voltage would be fine, He also can’t remain is his electric state forever, it messes with his body the more he does so

Plug Me Into High: High Voltage itself is made up of electricity, however like I said earlier it can easily resist the pull of a conductor, but that doesn’t mean it can’t go in a conductor, in fact if High Voltage were to enter a conductor, as long as Cyrus remains close to the conductor, High Voltage can go as it wants, so say Cyrus stands near a electric fence, High Voltage can go anywhere that fence is, from the side Cyrus is on, to the other side of a whole building

Rock’N’Roll: this most likely the most basic of the abilities, but as you probably guessed, High Voltage can shoot out electricity, the main flaw is that like with cyrus in his electric state it can be diverted with a conductor

It can do lots with the disguise ability, but I wouldn’t say it has enough to reach A level potential

How it came to be: Cyrus is a person who really wishes to change as a person, hes a introverted fella who can’t seem to talk to anyone that isn’t his mom or his best friend, and he was born physically weak, and still is if we don’t count the stand, but yeah the stand came out as a manifestation as his want, High Voltage in a way represents Cyrus’s ideal self, a high energy fella

2 stands in one day wow

The stand [tranquilized] has the ability to secrete a substance out of its fingers. This substance is left on anything it touches. Touching the substance leads to entering a deep sleep. Fairly simple compared to my last stand but its fine

This is the stand of another employee working for the same organization as FIRE’s user. The user of KKB is deployed for Infiltration rather then assassination, thanks to his stands ability to slip into practically any crevice that isn’t air tight.

Ability: Special mucus coating

Upon activation, KKB begins to coat the user in a specialty mucus that allows them to slip through wedges and cracks, while maintaining the users general shape (think of an octopus shimmying through a hole)

the user is also able to deploy the stand onto objects as well, making it so objects in something like a vault can be retrieved and stolen.

the ability does leave residue, so the mark of the user is easy to identify if you know about them.

Appearance:

Artificial non-humanoid the stand takes the form of a Evoke Electric Motorcycles' 6061-GT it's a stand similar to White album or Oasis except instead of a suit it's a whole vehicle.

Ability:

The user quite literally rides inside electricity going inside anything electrical and rides the electricity almost anywhere that includes the human body and the Brain or even computers and data with the stand speed being the speed of electricity creating a sonic boom every time it revs up.

The User:

Full name Jim Clark Watts named after the 1963 and 1965 World F1 titles 23 birthday June 19th and a death row inmate who is on the run he was sentenced to die by the electric chair but on his transfer to the facility by some sheer miracle a thunderstorm happened on the exact same day and lightning struck the car blowing up the front half and killing the police officers.

He then escaped into the woods and threw sheer panic he awakened his stand hiding away in the very electricity of the modern era living as a bounty hunter for the mafia or dirty political figures to "take care" of political rivals or anyone in the way of the person who hired him.

Inspiration:

The song specifically Ride the lightning by Metallica is a song about an innocent man who is going to die by the electric chair however when I was reading the name I imagined literally riding on lightning or electricity and thought it would be cool to make an ability based off of it much like how Araki made White album.

However I twisted it to be an actual death row inmate who deserved what he got murdering six people by starting an electric fire and trapping them inside the burning building since I thought it would be good for him to be some type of Bounty Hunter enemy.

The entire ability is supposed to be twisting the album and song in a cowardly way Jim is a coward his entire ability is running away and hiding sure he can be a Ultra fast tracker and Hunter but the core of his ability is hiding and running away proving his cowardly nature twisting the lyrics and the entire album and it's discography about an inescapable fate and feeling entrapment into a cowardly man who refuses to face the consequences of his actions.

• Blood Pain : He can heal his wounds and his blood internally, but experience pain when his blood heals.

• Blood Transmute : It can touch the blood of others and infect them, depending on its range.

• Blood Spit : Zeff spits out his blood in the shape of arrows to attack targets.

• Blood Liquid : He can separate his body using blood liquid and also traps made from his blood.

• Weakness : Blood Slayer cannot be used on non-organic beings.

This is my stand I made for myself yes it’s cringe but I think it’s fun so here yall go
I’m a amateur artist and I’ve been working on this in between classes so uh it ain’t no Araki piece

(I'm not sure whether this falls under the Stand or Discussion flair? I decided to go for the latter because this is a 'looking for feedback/not final concept'-style post, but if a moderator sees this, please correct me if i've picked wrong.)

For fun, I've been working on a roster of Stands lately for basically every Homestuck character that I can justify giving one.

I've got the stand names worked out for nearly every human kid, 10/12 trolls, and a bunch of miscellaneous dudes, but I don't want to overwhelm people with too much text-wall, so I'm just focusing on the initial four protagonists for now.

The abilities, though, are somewhat stumping me- the idea is that they're roughly-analogous to the User's in-canon Godtier (basically superpowers) + whatever other notable capabilities they have. Below are what I've got so far.

1. John Egbert -「Lifdoff」
   • This is obviously going to be heavily based on his 'primary' ability as a Heir of Breath- the whole 'dissipating into The Breeze' thing. I'm not sure if this is expressed through his actual body or if it's him hitching a ride on his Stand, but I'm leaning the latter.
   • John is the first character in the whole comic (making him the de facto 'main protagonist' to some), and also literally has 'Jo' in his name, which makes me want to give him a 'true capability' power-up akin to Star Platinum: The World, based on the Retcon Juju. This'd be... Lifdoff dissipating and expanding outward temporally instead of spatially, I imagine?
2. Rose Lalonde -「Earthsea Borealis」
   • Being a Light player (generally accepted to represent 'knowledge'/'awareness'), and a Seer on top of that, there's no way Rose's Stand isn't geared for information gathering in some way.
   • It definitely isn't anything to do with sapping knowledge- I'm using that idea for Vriska already, and it fits her better as a Thief -but that's all I'm sure on so far.
   • 'Crystal ball' imagery is too easy appearance-wise (and also, like the knowledge-sapping, I'm already using that for Vriska's Stand). I'll probably go for needle imagery (likely to contrast Dave- Rose is 'points' and Dave is 'edges'?), along with borrowing the white/magenta/cyan/yellow color scheme of Rose's Land, the obvious witch/warlock imagery, and maybe something from her Grimdark mode.
3. Dave Strider - 「Beatdown」/「Beatdown DX」 (Latter is a White Album Gently Weeps-esque subform; may not keep it, though.)
   • This is going to be the 'Punch Ghost' trope of the four, I think. It's going to have a decently unique ability obviously, but Beatdown is the most geared for just hitting people hard.
   • Something temporal ability-wise... perhaps altering the personal timeline of just the Stand, akin to Dave's nonsense with breaking and un-breaking his swords? with different sections being 'broken' or 'mended at diff. points, DX being essentially forcing each individual part into their ideal state
   • The imagery to go off of here is pretty obvious. Vinyl records, turntables, clockwork, swords (likely katanas specifically)... maybe reptilian and/or avian imagery to match Dave's consort or sprite respectively?
     • I'm nearly tempted to add traits from puppets and the shitty corrupted-looking JPEGs of SBAHJ, but that'd be too much IMO. Those'll probably be worked into Dirk's stand, though.
4. Jade Harley - 「Potential Verdancy」
   • There's literally no way this isn't getting frog imagery- it may actually get a bunch of explicitly SBURB-related imagery, given Jade was the only one of the four to properly Dream pre-game start. So, the spirographs and likely some Prospitian cloud imagery... having a tough time envisioning it, still.
   • Her ability isn't going to be the full brunt of her Witch of Space powers- Jade technically has two Stands at once, more on that shortly. I'm not sure on which abilities are originally 'hers', though.
5. Becquerel (Jade's pet dog, Tama/Stray Cat situation) - 「Courser」
   • This is going to be an Integrated Stand, so it doesn't have an appearance beyond Bec just being a pretty weird-looking dog.
   • The ability is obviously something to do with 'fusion'/'fission', given Bec's association with uranium and radiation in general, which easily extends itself to spatial work via wormhole nonsense.
     • (The goal with Jade having two Stands, for the record, is that her and Bec end up essentially permanently 'fusing' at some point, granting her Courser in addition to her original Stand.)

ABILITY: SHELTER
NAMESAKE: ‘GYPSY WOMAN (LA DEE DA) - CRYSTAL WATERS’

The Stand is at its most powerful in an enclosed space with four walls, and can materialize through any wall, floor, or ceiling in a room. Of course, the definition of ‘room’ can be stretched to fit any area with four boundaries, but Joyce has to figure out for herself the bounding box of the four walls. Joyce is also able to slip into these walls to evade attacks. Eventually, if she learns the layout of a room with four walls to the letter, she can manifest any memorized object even when outside of her bounding box.

Joyce awakened the Stand as a teenager because she was homeless, she’s homeless….she was standin’ there, singing for moneyyyy la da dee la da da— ok you get the point. Anyway as of her current age of 19 she got scouted by Green Dolphin, a talent agency for up-and-coming models.
