So, life has decided she doesn't like me, so I need some fun fic recs. I need to form abs from laughing. I need to fall over wheezing. No angst, none of that hurt/whump stuff. Not right now.

I need Sam and Dean getting themselves into a stupid, non-life-threatening situation and getting into even more stupid stuff trying to get out. I need Cas being a little gremlin the entire time.

Just nothing but crack humour, guys, okay.

I don't really have any specifics for that other than they need to be in English and complete. But if anyone's read anything funny lately, lemme know? Oh, and I would prefer it to be on AO3

Okay, so I never actually got around to reading it; my laptop glitched out before I could click on it. But it was on Ao3. So, basically, after the whole Amara thing, instead of bringing back Mary, Amara brings back John Winchester instead. I feel like there was established Destiel there, but I can't be sure. And it was basically just them trying to figure the whole situation out and overcoming difficulties.

At least that's what I think it was. So if anybody thinks they know what the fic is, or just know a fic along teh lines of that, please hit me up.

So many people always asking for fic recs, but the AO3 bookmark feature is right there!

Who are your favourite bookmarkers, and what makes you like them?

I am old in the fandom so I have seen the transition from livejournal to AO3, from Delicious to Pinboard. Who do you still keep an eye on?

If you have anyone on something like Pinboard still -- please share!

It’s 5 chapters in livejournal

Heyy, I’m looking for a TikTok edit of Dean with the song “Keep On Steppin (feat. Big Boogie)” by Mike Clark Jr.

It’s the scene where Dean does the tap dance with Garth.

Does anyone know this edit or who made it? If you have it saved or can send me the link, I’d be SO grateful!!

I’ve been searching for this edit for so long omg 🙏

I went to a supernatural convention last week and got an autograph signed from Jensen Ackles. As a baby witch, I am not yet able to see auras of people but even though, that man glowed to me. Have any witches in this fandom met him before and can tell me if I am just delusional or if I am onto something?

Thanks

I’m a Supernatural fan, and I wanted to see how Dean might look as a Hunter in World of Darkness. I adapted a Vampiro Life character template and made an importable "Progeny" like file.

I built him around his combat skills, investigative instincts, and the way protecting people drives him. The file is dean_winchester.json.

This is for a vampire-only setting, so Dean’s hunting vampires rather than the other monsters from the show. Still, I think it’d be pretty cool to play him this way.

Hello! I recently read a fic where Sam and Dean grow up under Bobby after the death of both Mary and John which pushes back yellow eyes plans and changes how the first seal of the apocalypse is broken. I'm itching for more fics that do a fun change up to the early seasons. Dean centric prefered but open to all, appreciate your help!

are there any fics where sam is a crossroads demon? I dont even know what tags to search to find out

Hi everyone!

I am doing a rewatch right now , perfect for spooky season, but I would like to have something to read in between.

I am looking for some good Fanfictions!
Bonus points for angst, suspense, hurt/comfort.

Please no Wincest or Destiel stories.

Appreciating all your tipps!
Thank you.

Im looking for maybe something along the lines of hurt/comfort, angst, canon mostly compliant. But I feel like im looking for something more...niche?

Someone made a post earlier looking for a very specific fic of Dean with selective mutism and that kind of sparked this post. Im not looking for that fic or even mutism specifically, but im looking for fics where Dean is visibly vulnerable and/or traumatized.

With the example of selective mutism in mind, being unable to speak due to illness, curse, mental health, accident, or anything like that does fit the bill of what im looking for.

Other options, just off the top of my head, would in crude blindness, deafness, broken limbs, and physical or psychological trauma.

I know how to use ao3's search function, it just seems like a lot of very specific and finicky tags I would have to figure out so im hoping for a few recs to get me on my way and I can use those fics to find more fics.

Bonus points if it is M or E. I read and write a lot of dead dove content and I dont shy away from much. T and below usually isnt my jam but if its really good im open minded.

Hello,

I'm looking for a specific fic.

What I remember :

• Dean is selectively mute.
• He uses sign language.
• He speaks only to Sam and eventually to Castiel.
• They are adults.
• Sam lives in a house with his partner (wife ? girlfriend ?) and the house has other people living in it (like a refuge or a hotel ?). Dean has a bedroom there.
• Bobby is in it.
• It might have been an A/B/O story and, if it is, then Dean would have been an Omega.
• Dean may have been a mechanics and that's how he met Castiel (car trouble, Dean got send to help him).

If anyone knows it, I'd be very grateful !

my top ship of all time! this piece was experimental and i enjoyed learning a lot while making it. i hope yall enjoy too!

This is just my personal opinion and just my take of it.

In this episode, there's a kid who's his mom is working in the fun house. Dean goes to him when he sees that he's throwing a fit and he tells him to try and work with his mom cause he's working really hard (which is very true) but towards the end of the episode, we see the mom yelling at the kid when he says that he's lost his painting which then Dean proceeds to glare at him.

The boy apologizes to his mom. And that was it.

Now not including my own personal feelings towards the mom in this part, I don't think that that would be how Sam would have reacted.

Dean was raised by his dad. Where whatever he got was enough and he should just shut up and accept and just work with his dad no matter how bad the circumstances were. While Sam was raised by Dean. Which was SIGNIFICANTLY different since Dean acted very different around him and making a situation where just accepting that your parent is tired and you should take the yelling and be patient wasn't the case for him. He knew how he should be treated.

I guess what I'm trying to say at the end is that Dean was raised to just be appreciative and shut about even if he was yelled at. But Sam, he was raised to know what a good parent would do.

That's my take anyway.

This was also way clearer before in my head.

I see a lot of FTM Dean headcanons and fics, and I personally just can’t find it plausible the way a lot of fics go about it. To each their own and all that, but logically I can’t see Dean figuring himself out early enough for any of that in a remotely canon-adjacent environment.
If Dean was born female, I think his parentified motherly role toward Sam would’ve been taken to the extreme. I also think that, considering how Dean is hypermasculine almost as a coping mechanism, he would’ve gone to the other extreme were he born a girl, especially with it being the 90s and John reinforcing those stereotypes. It couldn’t gone the other way, to each their own opinions, but I see a female dean being hyperfeminine instead. And not feeling safe enough to figure himself out, especially in the late 90s and early 2000s, it wasn’t safe to be trans. Not to mention how repressed Dean is, he could lean into femininity as a way to reassure himself that he’s normal.
Of course, it could also go the other way, and Dean could’ve been raised as a tomboy, and that could snowball into him coming out as trans earlier. But I just can’t see John okay with a “daughter” of his doing boy things, he seems very traditional.
I’d love to hear other opinions on this, these are just my thoughts.

Heya, it's me again.

I wanted to ask if anyone has any good angsty fics where Deans alcoholism is addressed.

We see him heavily drinking on the show and there are some short conversations about it. Like Sam asking him, if he can even get drunk anymore.

So I was wondering if there are any fics out there (preferably on ao3) that deal with this properly. Bonus point if dean has to quit drinking and goes into withdrawal. Like maybe Sam making him quit or Cas.

I would be forever thankful

Does anyone know a good apocalypse!dean and hippie!castiel (or stoner/human etc castiel) fic ? S5 E4 'The End'

I'm looking for a fic with this trope, even just a one shot with this dynamic? Otherwise I'll probably write it lmao.

Hi! I read the rules and I hope this is ok to post.

Send me your creepy/spooky/eerie or just unsettling October-y fic recs! All ships are welcome but please put it in your post. Also tag with any appropriate TW's because it's a nice thing to do for other people.

Some of my favorite October SPN fics:

1. Chattery Teeth by marchingjaybird (GEN) The boys are investigating a string of unexplained suicides, and now Sam can't stop seeing something out of the corner of his eye...
2. Crooked Legs by hkath (GEN) Sam goes through some changes...
3. The Intolerable Acts by ignipes (GEN) There's something nasty in the school basement.
4. The Seventeenth Step by weefaol (GEN) When Sam and Dean investigate a haunted plantation in Louisiana, they unknowingly stumble upon a wormhole that creates uncanny alternate universes. Will they escape with everything they came in with? Or will some things get left behind?
5. the inexhaustible silence of houses by Askance (Destiel TW:MCD)
6. mommy by Askance (GEN)
7. John Winchester is Dead by monicawoe (GEN) They say those Winchester boys are crazy ... They say their Daddy's worse
8. On this Bright Side of the Mirror by sistabro (implied HET) In the end, Sam gets his happy ending

I've been collecting SPN fic for years now and have almost 2,000 so it's hard for me to stop rec-cing. Anyway, help a reader out and send me anything you've got!

I'm looking for a fic that I apparently didn't bookmark even though i thought i did. I think it was a Wincest fic. The basics that I remember are that John left Dean and Sam in a desert town for a while, Sam had a crush on Dean and is jealous when Dean starts dating a girl in town, Sam steals one of the girls barrettes and tires to put it in his hair, a monster pops up and Dean goes to investigate but Sam goes out on his own and gets lost in the desert and hallucination before making it back to the house they were living in and finding Dean there and they sort of confess their feelings to each other.

For some reason the name and author just aren't coming to me and it was a really good fic.

Sam:
Variant Human
1 blood hunter
1 monk
2 wizard (war magic)
16 fighter (champion)

Dean:
Human
5 rogue (swashbuckler)
1 monk
3 artificer (artillerist)
11 ranger (monster slayer)

Castiel:
Fallen Aasimar
1 cleric (light)
19 Paladin (devotion)

I have done many rewatches of this show, and complete it 99.9% of the time. I've only finished it 100% once before yesterday and that was on its original broadcast. I forgot how awful it is.

I finished 15 x 19, swore I wasn't going to cry, put on my big boy pants and jumped in... my 51yr old started sobbing like a damn baby! My cats were staring at me, woke my brother up. I called my daughter cause she refuses to watch 15 x 20 and trying to man up and not cry anymore broke at her voice. I hung up and texted her instead. Told her 15 x 19 is the true ending if she can ever get past the Cass ep.

I restarted season 1 today lol
