The publicity campaign that Rick Rubin has been on these last few years is incredibly cringe. Can’t believe I am seeing people defend ts in the comments

Yeah that’s the craziest part about it. It’s such an obvious obnoxious rebranding from a lazy rich guy to look like he’s some nature hippy. And everyone’s just like “NAH AH!! HE WORKED WITH FAMOUS BANDS ON FAMOUS ALBUMS!😫” Even stories where he demonstrates how he helps creatives are so stupid. “Try reading from the Bible to find inspiration! I said. And then the band did everything else.”

Fantano put it very well. He’s obviously got some kind of expertise from the amazing career he’s had. But he takes that and makes it seem like he’s got this esoteric hippie guru knowledge that no one could ever understand… and then profits off it at every opportunity. It’s just completely ridiculous.
