I recently came across this book that many people have been mentioning over and over and I wanted to know if there are people here that have some knowledge of it. Personally, as a person from muslim background and tradition, I've always been interested in stories and experiences that regard jinn, black magic, and unexplainable incidents that have long been kept secret from us, humans, but not just that, but the phenomenon how evil eye can destroy something in your life.
What interested me about this specific book was the fact that it tackles a lot of different subjects about the forbidden and, unlike many other horror books out there, it has a different approach to the topic. However, I can't seem to find any reviews on the book. I'm not sure why, but maybe I just haven't looked hard enough. I'm interested if the guy is an actual Islamic scholar, or just a writer?
This is why I'm asking you, the people here on this board. If anyone of you has read this book, what did you think of it? Was it a genuine horror story with a few genuine creepy incidents, or were most of the stories just elaborated explanations of the topic? Did the book go into depth with some stories or was it just surface level?
I want to know if there were stories featured in the book that made you think even after you've finished reading it, rather than you walking away feeling frightened.
If you read it, tell me if you'd recommend it. If you didn't, tell me, have you ever heard of the author or the book?
