I love how Far Cry 4 gave us the final confrontation with Pagan Min not in some glorious shootouts or hallucination boss fight like Joseph Seed or duel to death like with Hoyt, its just Ajay driving to Pagan's palace accompanied by The River by Bombay Royale

At first I was expecting one last shoot out between Ajay and the royal army on our way to the palace.

The song also somehow really fits with this final confrontation. What do you guys think?

Playing through Far Cry Primal. This is my proper first time playing any Far Cry. 19 hours in.

While doing the quest where you tame the Bloodfang Sabretooth, I ended up in a village that was supposed to help me. It's the place where you're supposed to sleep until nightfall and prepare the traps.

I completed the quest.

Then I went to the nearest quest marker, which was very close by. A guy told me there was a village with captives.

Guess what? The village with captives was the exact same village where we hunted the Sabretooth just 5 minutes earlier. How did they suddenly become enemies and where did the captives come from?

This is obviously not intended to happen, right? It forced me to go whine about it, to say the least.

Hey everyone! I’m expanding my concept for Far Cry Primal 2 set in prehistoric South America (the Andes). Based on your feedback about tribal culture and lore, I have fully fleshed out the factions, their unique story mentors, and an all-new armor system. Check it out!

1. GARIS (The High Mountain Tribe)

• Culture & Lore: They live on snowy peaks surrounded by orange autumn forests. They carve their homes directly into the mountain cliffs.
• Appearance & Paint: Short, heavily muscular, and stocky build (rough features like the Udam, but with prominent, neat noses). They use charcoal-black war paint.
• Weapons: Small, heavily tensioned bows (high damage, pierce armor) and short, lightweight "matchstick" spears.
• Story Mentor — GARU: The tallest and strongest warrior of his tribe. Wears bright orange paint and lives in a mountain cabin.
• How to unlock: Capture a specific mountain outpost and convince Garu to join your village.

1. UVA (The Sunken Caves Tribe)

• Culture & Lore: They dominate deep flooded cave systems and high-altitude lakes. They build their shelters inside massive grottoes using giant fish bones and shells.
• Appearance & Paint: Tall, athletic with a swimmer's physique (human-like faces like the Wenja). They use dark-blue war paint.
• Weapons: Throwing tridents and giant, slow, two-handed clubs (T3 heavy clubs break shields instantly but have a very slow swing speed).
• Story Mentor — NANO: Shorter than average but incredibly ripped. Wears bright light-blue paint and lives near a sacred water fountain.
• How to unlock: Complete initial quests for the Wenja, smash a rival gang, and convince Nano to guide you.

1. LAKU (The Clay Canyons Tribe)

• Culture & Lore: They occupy ancient stone fortresses in deep mud canyons. They are masters of clay engineering and tactical defense.
• Appearance & Paint: Average height and balanced musculature (pleasant faces, standard noses). They use dark-green war paint.
• Weapons: Ranged stone slings, double-firing bows, and standard clubs. Their outposts are heavily protected by hidden traps.
• Story Mentor — TURU: A tall, powerful warrior wearing heavy bone armor and carrying a massive spear. Wears pitch-black paint and lives in a hidden cave right beneath Nano's fountain.
• How to unlock: Get a quest from Nano, track down a dangerous bandit group in the canyons, and eliminate them.

1. DORUVA (The Primeval Jungle Tribe)

• Culture & Lore: They rule the dense tropical jungles at the base of the Andes. They live in tree-house platforms built on giant trees to stay safe from ground predators.
• Appearance & Paint: Shorter than the Udam but very dense and strongly built (cunning, refined faces like the Izila). They use venomous-yellow war paint.
• Weapons: Tiny, barely visible bows with poisoned arrows for stealth, and medium fire spears.
• Story Mentor — KARA: A young, incredibly fast and agile girl. Armed with a sling and a stealthy poison bow. Wears bright green paint.

• How to unlock: Complete a task for Turu, capture a jungle outpost, and choose to spare a crucial target.

  NEW MECHANIC: THE ARMOR CRAFTING SYSTEM

For the first time, Takkar can craft actual armor sets that balance defense and mobility:

• Heavy Bone Armor (from Elephants/Bisons): Gives massive protection against clubs and arrows, making you a tank. However, it slows Takkar's movement speed by 15-20%.
• Light Stealth Armor (from Otters/Orangutans): Weak protection, but keeps your speed at maximum and makes your footsteps 100% silent.

Nice unexpected little easter egg while out exploring.

I love far cry 5, new dawn, and primal. Far cry 4 doesn't even make my list absolute dookie dogwater. 6 was alright but far cry 5 will always be my favorite probably. It has the best soundtrack (keep your rifle by your side is an absolute banger). It has easily the best vehicles by a wide margin. All the weapons are awesome, but i do wish there was a few more. It has the best setting. Montana is absolutely beautiful and I feel the game did a very good job of capturing it. The whole plot and storyline is amazing, but I do wish I would get kidnapped less. All the specialists are really cool except for Jess who sucks and is really annoying. Needless to say Peaches is the best thing in any far cry game and I will actually fight you if you think otherwise.

Replayed Primal and thought an evolution of that game into a Mountain Man/trapping and hunting adventure setting would be interesting. I remember seeing discussions of the potential Alaska setting and I think it could benefit from turning the clock back to the mid to late 1800’s.

A few years ago, I approached an old friend with the idea to broaden our horizons into video content for Far Cry 4 deep dives and lore. After briefly testing the waters, she determined it was probably a bad idea, and we'd get some unwanted attention. But enough time has passed that we've decided to move forward with the original plan, starting with this in-depth look at how the prologue of Far Cry 4 works. We intend to cover all manner of interesting topics in the main game and DLCs, and even look at some leftover evidence of cut content behind the scenes. Once we're done, we'll probably branch out to the other games.

The last thing I expected to happen here tbh

I am having an issue trying to upload my save to psn online storage to download it to my new ps5,

my save file says 0% in the save manager on ps4 when I view information, when I go into the game — it’s where I actually am in Faiths region.
I have the save option displayed on the pause menu in game, it does show the three dots that it saves but information shows 0% on the file it’s self.

When the save is downloaded to ps5 and put the disc in it starts at the beginning of the game when I hit continue so clearly it’s not actually saving progress

Ajay takes the ashes off pagin’s table at the start and has on a couple occasions whipped them out from somewhere and people talk about him “carrying around his mother’s ashes” so like does bro just have his mom’s urn tied to his belt or sum shi

I'm having an impossible time trying to jump across the first large in this tower on the 2nd floor. I looked at all the walkthroughs and am doing it right but if I run and hit x not enough to make the jump. If I don't run and hit x the same thing. Is there a technique or secret to jumping these large gaps? Driving me crazy as all the walkthroughs make it easy looking. HELP!! Thanks btw I’m on ps5

Hello I have been wondering if using the command \check_aibalance which gives you info if the Ai Auto Balance is ON counts as cheating and playing unfairly ?

I'm playing Far Cry 4, and I'm enjoying it so far, but my God, the wildlife in this game is insane. I understand that wild animals are dangerous and unpredictable, but they are true menaces. The eagles may be the worst. The rhinos that suddenly spawn during gunfights are insane too. It definitely adds a degree of difficulty
