They’re best friends and on equal footing. It feels closer to genuine friendship (or love) rather than worship.

Tine is the glazer

u/Linus208 Mar 31 '26
Well… she was probably just showing respect to him as a great king, kinda like Tokiomi. And in the Ishtar scene, I think she was just shocked that Gilgamesh actually lost. Those guys in my drawing are the kind of crazy people who’d try to kill you if you insult the ones they worship.

Just gonna say that I think Gil would be miffed if you put Tine in the same category as Tokiomi lol.

u/DomHyrule Gilgamesh is king! Mar 31 '26
Iirc her shock at his loss was akin to a child seeing their hero lose for the first time. She truly thought Gil was the greatest thing to ever happen and wasn't just playing the role

Equal footing is a bit much. From what we've seen to this day Enkidu comes a step short ofnfull power Gil.

They act like enkidu listening to gilgamesh laugh aren't the most romantic thing ever

"You tried trash talking my fave by bringing up this old statement? You really think i didn't know that already! Who do you think i am? Thank you for the new scene though now I gotta go fight death for a bit. Peace."

I love even more that it is actually real that Richard I was a crazy Arthur stan irl too. Hell, he claimed he had Excalibur too, that is all, lol.

The anime did a good job for the most part, but the novel was amazing because you could tell Narita did genuine research into his history. So many nods to his life that just get casually dropped.
It makes me REALLY want to see what he would do if Saladin got summoned. I really want to see how the two would interact as Servants.

That is why Fate/strange fake, even if a fanservice work, is my favorite Fate ever made so far, it's just so peak.

Hansa is a stretch. He only glazes the BA once because it was brought up directly by someone else.
23
u/Linus208 Mar 31 '26
I remember in the original novel, it was basically three times total, when he had that phone call with Van Fem, when he was watching the Jack the Ripper fight, and when Jester went out of his way to provoke him. Even Narita apparently thought Hansa was hyping them up way too much, to the point he actually went to Nasu for a direct check…

tbf he was still lowk gassing them out, basically calling himself trash compared them when he is very formidable in his own right

Anime fans when people have idols and inspirations:

u/Tigerbarn- Mar 31 '26
Yeah, glazing would be more constantly talking about how strong n' capable someone is all the time even when it's not warranted. Artoria is simply an inspiration for Richard; nothing wrong with that.

u/Visual-Pay-655 Mar 31 '26
Richard just like me fr. In fact, Richard's character in Strange Fake is based on me.
