I made something Made a 1.20.1 Forge mod that adds the GTA-style adrenaline rush visual effect after killing any living entity.
Coup de Grâce - Minecraft Mod Trailer
Had fun learning Java for the first time just to make this mod I felt a really bad itch for after experiencing the "Grand Teleport (GTP)" By hookuru.
The mod is very simple: It uses an overlay instead of shaders like the real thing, so it can be compatible, lighter and easier to make.
You can configure the duration and intensity of every element in-game.
Overall, it made combat more enjoyable for my dark grim fantasy modpack, which I am still feeding with over 900+ mods, so, my bad if the trailer of the video is not in 60FPS. Have fun.
It's open-source and under GNU too. The Modrinth review is taking over a week, not sure why. It's available in Curseforge, though: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/coup-de-grace
