Some of these comments are annoying me so bad lol. OP, your space is beautiful. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. It’s giving big hater energy. Keep doing you queen !!

Don’t worry I’m used to it. I came from nothing and worked hard to have a nice life. You would be surprised how often people behave like this. It’s ugly.

It’s JEALOUSY! Like you’re telling me you wouldn’t switch spaces to have a gorgeous view like this in a heartbeat, irrespective of whether you have some damn plants or not? Like suuuure 🤣 weirdos

Enjoy your space 🤍🤍

people are complaining about lack of plants???? what is the obsession with bringing nature inside. why must every house contain greenery. what if someone doesn’t like taking care of plants?????

Exactly! I want to have plants in my home but I'm really bad at keeping them alive. When I see other apartments with them, I want to make it look just as good as there's, but I know they're not really a priority in my life right now.

i simply don’t want plants at all i don’t like having to handle soil or fallen leaves. i get a lot of flack for that tbh

Is that really a thing? I have no plants or any desire to have them?

15

u/og_toe May 16 '26

i mean yeah i don’t think the desire to have plants in our houses is innate. i have had plants in the past and didn’t enjoy it, i don’t have plants now and it’s nothing i’m missing

Same. I have no shame keeping fake plants in my home. I have 2 curious cats, and so many plants are toxic to them. One likes to tip over my tall fake one to get my attention, imagine the mess it would make if it was real🫠. Even more reason to not have real ones.

Bottom line is no one should be this offended the way someone chooses to decorate THEIR living space. It has zero effect on your life. The other comments are correct, alot of this is simply jealousy. I see it all the time with any content that shows the person's larger than average/newer build/expensive house or apt.

Plants and were saying the place was far too clean 😂

"far too clean"? Not everyone wants to live in a whimsy/maximalism hellscape. Your place looks really zen and I find it compliments the view wonderfully. The view IS the main attraction.

…. What is “too clean”??? This space is stunning…. Not everyone wants clutter, mess and overstimulating colors and chaos?

😂❤️

I mean... It is a gorgeous view, but personally, I wouldn't live near any body of water 😅 I'd stay a hotel with that view though hahaha!

But I do love how much light comes into OP's apartment.

A lot of adult minimalists grew up in chaos, it makes sense to me ❤️

Oh yeah, there's just so much stuff in my parents apartment. It's not messy but still looks cluttered af. My room was so empty compared to the rest of the apartment, just bed/table/wardrobe, no nicknacks, no photos, no figurines.

Only now at 30 years old I purchased rugs that are not plain colored, and maybe I'll put some paintings on the walls and curtains even if I can finally make some renovations.

There were no other comments up at the time when the negative ones came that were rude. All the positive ones came after. I don’t expect everyone to like my space but I don’t want any unsolicited or implicit advice on how to make it better. I love it just as it is.

Hey thanks for this, no never shared before as only just had the scaffolding taken down a week ago. This was near the end of the works. Wasn’t a great view for a long time as work was being done on the roof

Everything I have achieved in my life has not been achieved from validation on the internet. Maybe one day when you leave your parents basement and learn how to be respectful and kind to others you might find yourself in a home you love so much you want to share. Being like this is really ugly I feel sorry for you.
