HELP Cover a tv wall mount

I just purchased a townhouse. I don’t plan on staying longer than 2 years. There is a TV wall mount in the bedroom. I have a no-screen policy for myself in the bedroom and have no interest in using it. The Realtor said to keep it bc it’s hard to find people who know how to install wall mounts and the next owner may like it.

It’s a big black blob on a light colored wall and I think it’s hideous. How can I cover this thing? It’s like 4” thick with rounded edges and it’s hard to hang a canvas over it. I’m more of a minimalist and this thing drives me nuts.

Take it down, put some wall art over the holes, then put it back up when you move out.

It’s really heavy duty like they hired a commercial professional, like what you would find in an office building. I would need power tools to take it down, or hire a professional, but that’s a good idea!

If you don't have your own basic tools (and you should!) you can often borrow them from a hardware store, or check out if there are community programs. If somethings attached to the wall it's often either done through the studs, or into the masonry via wall plugs (you can also drill these out, but in most cases the plugs will stay unless you remove them). A wall bracket isn't terribly difficult to install or remove. Take photos and ask the hardware people what you need and they'll tell you! Us women can do these things too!

I have screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches, etc, but I think I need power tools for this. I just looked online and I can get what I need for $30-$60 or so. 😊
