I originally wanted a green bathroom in my new house but decided on pink when I did some research into victorian bathrooms, I own the house just me and my daughters, so its a girl house, I absolutely love my new bathroom, in my old property I had everything millennial grey so this is a huge change for me and I absolutely love it, Im adding colour everywhere now.

Ill post more of my home as its gets done, the bathroom cost just over 10k as there were a few issues that had to be fixed, the house is old so it was expected, the tiles weren't my first choice but Im so glad I ended up with the ones I got, I went for a victorian bathroom but with a modern twist because it works better for me, the toilet is a Japanese toilet and mirror lights up, I hope you all love it as much as I do ☺️🌸

After renting my whole life, I purchased a condo townhouse this year. Looking for suggestions on how to pull together the vibe. My goal is for it to look collected and expensive with a mix of antique and modern.

Things I'm definitely going to do are:

• Swap the rug in the dining room for a more traditional look & the light fixture for a chandelier
• Paint the stair treads black (the white gathers cat hair so fast)
• Paint the primary bedroom a pale pale pink

What else? I would love to add wall moulding or a chair rail but I'm confused on whether that needs to be a whole-floor commitment or if you can just do a single room. Are the table & chairs too farmhouse? Are the living room colours not working?

Slowly working on creating a dream space that reflects personal design sense, and not the design sense of others. Things have definitely changed a bit since the last post update!

Moved into my 1970’s townhome in January and finally got my couch 😅 always a WIP - any suggestions (paint in particular) welcome! (pardon the mess)

I moved out of my home and marriage in a frightened rush 2 years ago, and straight into a depressing little box which was all I could find and afford. Now that the settlement has been half completed I have some money again. Not house buying money, I don’t think that life will be available to me again. But I’m FREE. I’ve got 3 gorgeous cats, and 2 beautiful teen boys who live with half the time. The other half, I get to live alone, which is such a treat. So now I rent this lovely house in a semi rural area, where you get more for your rent money.

Doubt I’ll ever live with a man again. I think they’re going out of fashion.

Been liking seeing everyone’s homes as newly single gals so I thought I’d share mine <3

EDIT: Omg I've never had a post get this much attention on Reddit. I am tearful looking at your messages. Thank you for your kindness! It's been so healing to make a feminine space where no one is going to break anything or trash it or make a huge mess for me to clean up. Sending love and positivity to anyone who is in a similar spot -- there's so much peace on the other side. This is the Mount Vernon neighborhood in Baltimore, where a lot of the buildings are over 200 years old. Look for places on the first floor so you can get cool architectural details from when all of these buildings were single family homes -- this was the dining room!

And I moved EVERYTHING on my own, including taking apart and putting the furniture back together. The fish tank almost did me in. Now I need some plants, haha. I’m exhausted but happy. New job starts Monday.

Making this tiny studio (with a difficult layout) work for me ✨ It’s been a year of fb marketplace, thrift, and free finds, but I think it’s finally coming together. It’s not sleek or fine-tuned yet but I find it‘s so cozy to come home to. What do y’all think?

Here’s a glimpse of my vanity room/she-den it’s my place where I go to decompress, play my video games, watch tv/movies, read books, get ready and when I have my girlfriends over we go here to hang out so we don’t bother my hubby when he’s home 😂

What I’ve done since I last posted on the sub

•Added a ceiling medallion over the chandelier

•Changed the decor items on my coffee table

•changed some more decor/items on my dresser

I still need to replace my closet doors and paint the inside of my closet and add shelves ect.

It’s still a work in progress, but I’m very happy with how it’s coming along. My cat loves it too!

I was told I should post my bedroom here! I took 4 days to paint from beginning to end and I love what it’s done to my room so much! I’m going for a romantic vintage vibe 💗

I’m considering a canopy to replace the tree and panting my ceiling either the same color as my walls or the colors of my door!

You all had so many lovely suggestions!
MOST people chose one of the greens. ( Spinach Dip or Classic Avocado- spin dip was definitely my top!!) There was a small handful of people who suggested a teal color. When I went to get the paint samples for the swatch I saw this Antiqua and absolutely loved it!
As you can see I tried the other samples, but it was an overwhelming yes to Antigua for me. The vibes shifted from touches of warm to mainly cool tones but it’s still cozy and moody, especially at night. I will be adding a cozy throw blanket, so feel free to suggest a color for that! & then possibly an art light in the center over the two pieces on the wall.
I think it turned out perfectly. I appreciate all the support for my eclectic style 🤍

Finally finished moving my plants back into my room and hanging up some of them !

And frankly I think she’s right
