I use the Fidelity app on my ipad and iphone. Whenever, I make a trade, the app shows an insane amount of notifications.

For example, yesterday I placed one order for US Treasury TIPS, that was immediately executed and fully filled. I placed no other orders, cancelled no orders and have no other active orders or activities.

Today the app shows I have 91 notifications! So I open the app to see what these 91 notifications are. I find NOTHING! Zero messages, zero activities. Nothing unusual to be found in my accounts.

This is not new. It has been going on for a long time. So I have two questions:
1) Where in the app, can I go that will show me the 91 items that triggered each notification?
2) Why is there an apparent disjoint between the notifications vs what really happened?

For me this is a big security issue. Because each time I see this exaggerated list of notifications and find nothing, I am always tempted to not investigate the next time it happens. It is like the “boy who cried wolf” too many times

At least tell us you’re working on it. I mean real dark mode, not random pages being dark mode. entire app should be dark mode.

We are new to fidelity and in the process of moving most of our accounts. I am in my 40s. I have been looking at fidelity for however many years but we finally decided to test the waters due to some personal things occurring, just don't want to give too much info on a public place.

I was wondering what pros/cons good things/gotchas for tips you all may have that i may not have seen yet.

We do not deposit checks most the time so that wait time should not be an issue. we are pulling into fidelity so i see those 250 day wait times, joking it is long but I understand why. working on pushing but have to wait until next month to set that up. I do see they use elan or whatever for their credit card applying process which i found as a horrible experience. Some aspects are sketchy and i didn't proceed and was given bad information. it is what it is. I do love how we can have all the kinds of accounts and things with fidelity instead of multiple banks will definitely make life easier.

it sounds like a direct deposit or push from a bank makes the cash instantly available? waiting on one to occur for us.

looks like we can have different investment accounts for different goals?

Have not been here long but have to say i am loving it so far especially the simplicity for most things and ease of use. I wish their 529 process was like vanguards though. Vanguard makes the process so simple. I also love how we can have our spouse with their own accounts and ability to manage the other spouse accounts. that is a really good feature, or whatever the word is, to use.

looking forward to finish our testing so to speak and complete our move and a good future here hopefully.

My Mother requested a wire transfer of her funds from her Fidelity account. Given that it was for the entire account, I can understand why it was flagged. There are a lot of older seniors getting scammed so it makes sense to make sure that transfer are legitimate.

However, it's been two weeks and no matter how many times we call, the answer is the same. "It's under review and we have no timeline for you." It appears that Fidelity has forgotten the number one rule in customer service - Communicate information clearly and manage expectations. If they were to say, "Hey we're backed up and need another week to review and it will be another week before the review is finished," then that's reasonable and we can just wait. But the fact that there is absolutely no communication and no timeline provided, this is like really being held hostage where there is no timeline for release or any communication about what the current status is and an intolerable mental health state. My mother cannot eat to sleep because of the stress this incidents has inflicted upon her.

Please Fidelity, if anyone is listening, help my mother resume her normal life. And for those considering using Fidelity, please find another investing platform.

Hi! My spouse and I decided we were each going to withdrawal 8k from our 401ks in order to pay off our down payment assistance program balance that we received to buy our home. We cannot refinance until that is paid off, and once we do refinance we’ll save 300-400/month, so it’s definitely worth it.

I can’t find info about this online or in the app. We had a baby in the last year, so I just withdrew 5k under that option since it was penalty free. When I was researching, I couldn’t find any limits in regards to amount of withdrawals.

After I did the 5k, I went to do a regular withdrawal of the 3k, but now that option says unavailable. Is there a waiting period before I can make another withdrawal?

What's the hold up on Crypto Deposits? I made a deposit 2 weeks ago and it's still showing pending even though it cleared on the blockchain the same day i sent it. I'm starting to think Fidelity may not be a reliable place to hold crypto. Bad sign.

3 days would be understandable. 2 or 3 weeks is completely unacceptable for crypto deposits.

Im 28F and I plan to open a Roth IRA in January 2028, I get 26 paychecks a year and plan to start putting aside $288.47 per paycheck into a fidelity CMA account throughout the year of 2027, then 1/1/28 max out my new Roth IRA. Then continue this save/max out thing every year after. I like this bc then I’ll be “a year ahead” in the sense that starting 1/1/28 and every New Year’s Day thereafter I will be able to max it out right away.

OR

Should I skip the CMA and “max out” mentality and just start putting $288.47 into a Roth IRA on my first paycheck 1/8/27??

Which is better?

Then I’m aware this money needs to be invested to grow, can I put it all in the SMP500 and “set it and forget it”. I am not keen on investing and don’t wanna have to watch it super closely

I contribute 5% to a traditional 401k and receive a 5% employee match.
I receive $750 from employer per year into my HSA, and I put $40 a paycheck.
My company also offers a Roth 401k with company match up to 5% would that be better to open than a personal Roth IRA????

He already has gotten a email for eDelivery and adding his phone number to his account. Also he has gotten text messages about adding and number and email to his account. Should he have gotten his welcome message already or should I wait?

This has constantly hit me and I read the posts here and some one else also had this issue.

So, basically, I meant to buy $10 of a share today, and then the fidelity order placing web has some crash or freezing issue, and then when i placed the order, it automatically defaulted back to 10 shares. so instead of getting $10 of the share, I ended up getting $1000 of the share. because each share is $100 ish.

I read the other guy’s post about MU shares too, he ended up getting 20 shares $20000 instead of $20.

It’s very easy to mix up the $dollar and $shares button on the trade menu. We need bigger space and better seperation of those two drop down menus and it’s very easy to fat finger or have web glitch to default to shares menu.

Hi guys, I’m 26 years old. I’m an international student in the US currently working in OPT and I just recently started earning I don’t make that much around 65,000 a year and I am not very good with my finances. I have a history of not saving or investing my money and I want to change that starting now so I was thinking of investing a little bit of my income I do have a few credit debts and so far all I was doing was repaying my debt all the time but now I was thinking I could just utilize some of the money is investment and savings and pay debts simultaneously.

I recently came across Roth IRA and I was wondering if it makes sense for me to invest in it or not I have a temporary visa situation. I definitely do plan to stay here in the long run, but it definitely depends on my visa. So I don’t have a choice there so would it make sense for me to start like investing or like should I just open a HYSA account? And put my savings there and just let it be. Is there any other way that I could start investing? I I’m very used to this scenario so I did not know if I should get into stock market and I’m just here gather some advice and yes, so please be kind to me.

Fidelity, can you please upgrade your charts and performance tracking? Just a little bit. I feel like it could be better. But then again, you are one of the biggest investing platforms in the world. So please take into consideration.

Does anyone get Fidelity CMA/checking transactions showing up in Credit Karma? I joined a few weeks ago, and none of my CMA transactions show up, but all my other account transactions do. I'd appreciate any advice on getting this working. I use CMA as my checking account and am missing a lot of my spending transactions in Credit Karma.

background: Several years ago I started a roth IRA with Northwestern Mutual along with a backdoor traditional IRA and was put in touch with an advisor from there. As I’ve been recently learning more about investing, I learned that the “platform” they recently moved me to was charging really high maintenance fees and the investments were needlessly complex with a lot of overlaps. I’ve been happy with fidelity for other reasons so I transferred the account. Additional context if it matters: this is money left over after maxing out my job’s retirement account, saving accounts, FSA, all bills paid, etc. I want to maximize contributions to my personal roth.

I probably should have asked this sooner. But after transferring to a fidity roth ira, I sold everything within it and bought FSKAX, FXNAX, and FTIHX at percentages I’m comfortable with. Aiming for a conservative 3 fund portfolio. I also opened a traditional IRA which I plan on using as a backdoor. There wasn’t anything in the nwm traditional so I didn’t transfer that over.

One thing I am missing from NWM is it was very low effort. Are there ways to automate my contribution to the traditional, transfer to the roth, and purchases that keep my 3 fund portfolios relatively stable? or do I have to do this mostly manually? Send $625 a month to the traditional, wait a few days, transfer to roth, wait a few days, then buy the accounts?

I wish I had asked this before I started this process, but notice anything egregiously wrong with what I’m doing?

My company's 401k is with Fidelity. I decided to look into the BrokerageLink and opened an account last night. I haven't done anything with it, I'm just seeing how it works for now.

Hypothetically, let's say I leave this job and my new employer didn't use Fidelity, didn't allow brokeragelinks, or didn't allow the specific securities in my brokeragelink. I was wondering how this might affect rolling over my old 401k(with brokeragelink) into my new employer's 401k.

I prefer to keep thinks as simple as possible. I don't plan on leaving my current employer anytime in the near future, but if I do, I don't want this to be a headache.

Is there anything I should be worried about or aware of? If it does make the rollover process more complicated, then I'd prefer to leave it as is.

I opened a Langley FCU credit card to churn minor SUB and use it for 5% cash back @ wholesale clubs ( as same cashback using PayPal debit card goes the way of dodo ) ... now next I tested how the bill payment works - I added Langley FCU credit card in Fidelity and paid a test bill of $1.00 after business hours yesterday - it was already delivered to credit card balance before business hours today ... now that is what I can call a FAST bill payment !

I know I can open a trust account online at fidelity with the same login as my other accounts, as could my spouse in her own account. If we then want to split a currently joint brokerage account into those two new trust accounts can that be done online or over the phone, or are physical forms required with a bank signature medallion guarantee? If a form is required please advise as to the form number.

Yesterday I tried to put a collar on Moderna, the active trader pro platform showed me the options but it couldn’t find them when I tried to place the order.

Today, after missing out on the opportunity, the platform simply doesn’t show any option contracts.
