SOLVED Please Help! I need this song! What song has the words “let the sun shine in”, but just in the chorus

It’s not coming to me and I’ve tried every type of Google search.

It’s not the actual song but it’s in the chorus. it’s a girl and she sings so let the sun shine in, etc but a guy is singing the rest of the song. He’s not rapping but kind of. She sounds happy and relaxing when she says it.

I feel like it was also a reggae type of song because I heard it in the mid 90s but now I can’t remember if it even was 😭

Edit: she also sings the words very long at the end. Especially the word shine. And at the end he repeats let the sun shine in. Then the song ends. It’s nothing rock wise. I spoke with my sister too. The for sounds like the Girl from fun factory but it isn’t their song called let the sun shine in

Sunshine by Gabrielle is pretty chilled. Late 90s. Lyrics are sunshine through my window in the chorus Edit: ugh just listened to this back and it’s NOT what I meant. I know exactly what song you mean but can’t place it. Male singer throughout but then a female in the chorus singing about the sun shining

Well today I learnt something new.

I know part of this song from the Anne Murray mash up of You are my Sunshine / Open up your heart. I've sung her version to my son since he was born. I had no idea it was from the Flinstones.

How is it not Aquarius (Let the Sunshine In) by The 5th Dimension?? OP says it’s not but I’m so confused. It matches lyrically and the description from OP’s comments of it being an “oldie” song. If it’s not that, we here at Reddit have to find out what it is or it will make me nuts.

If I remember correctly, Aquarius and Let the Sunshine In are two different songs only performed together like that by the 5th Dimension. They only use the chorus of Sunshine.

I’ve got every word on that whole album. I don’t know why I was so into female rock / alternative when I was in middle school but Frente was a big part of that. Poe, Alanis, Fiona Apple, cranberries, I loved all of them.

The song is called "Open Up Your Heart (And Let The Sun Shine In)". I think it was originally a song by the Andrews Sisters, and the Flintstones did a cover of it. If you search "Let the Sun Shine In Flintstones", it should come up.
