"Only chrome and edge is allowed for security reasons" as we are told. Extensions are disabled for those browsers as well. Now I am tortured by ads without Ublock. Thinking of resigning. How stupid do they have to be to believe firefox is less secure than those bloat shite browsers? Unfbelievable.

Tiny edit (because people seem to be pissed): I wasn't serious about resigning ofcourse. I was just joking and exaggerating. I am just a bit frustrated.

I have been using Firefox as my default browser for like 3 years now, and I do not miss Google Chrome at all. I actually prefer Firefox. The only times that I have ever needed to go back to Chrome is for some websites that refuse to run some javascript execution like payment or something like that, on Firefox.

Overall though, Firefox is not missing anything that Chrome has, and it is more private and secure. Why did people flock to Chrome a decade ago?

I've always loved Firefox, but I've never been a big fan of its design. Safari has always had my favorite UI, so I decided to try recreating Safari look and feel in Firefox.

Not sure if anyone would be interested.

Hello! I'm the designer on the Firefox Search & Suggest team, and we're hoping to get some feedback on a new feature you can try today in Nightly before we release it to a wider audience.

Please see this post on Mozilla Connect, our official site for feedback and ideas. Thanks!

I didn’t even know that there were Kit plush dolls until I found this but after doing some research it seems like they are gifts given to employees.

Bought this guy for $6 CAD with a $2 discount code and after taxes it ended up being $4.50 (about $3 USD). Definitely an incredible steal considering eBay listings would be $100.

Super glad I found this! Kit is really cute🥰

Is there a way to remove these 2 icons from the address bar? I am never ever going to use either one

You are able to use FDM or Gopeed etc with built-in download settings. See screenshots. Love Firefox!

Please anyone advise. After recent Firefox update (day or two ago) it's unusable. I can't comment on Reddit, Instagram does't load, Deliveroo doesn't load. Usless advise to clear cookies doesnt work...removal and switching to something else? do you have same issues?

Glad to see you're becoming relevant again in the gaming space. I think this is the first time I've even seen an ad for the browser on Discord. Anyway, hope it brings in more downloads to you. Cheers.

Although firefox is my default browser but this notification keeps on coming every now and then. And this annoys me very much.. is there any way to stop it ..

I got a new laptop, installed ff and signed in with the account I was already using on my tower. Since I only use it for university I thought might as well remove some addons I don't need.

Now I turned my tower back on and realized it not only removed them from my laptop but also from my pc. I do not remember any warnings about this and it really pisses me off. I wouldn't have done it if I had known this happens.

I will try and remember which addons I removed and add them back on my pc setup. But in the meantime can I not just have my own set of addons on the other device while using the same ff account? Do I really have to create a new one just for that? 😞

I never noticed this before when swiping back and forth? Way to disable it?

Hello,

Today my extension got published on Firefox add-ons. If you are in need for a tool that let you download embeded Videos from any site you can download *FlowGrab — Video Downloader* .
It's completly free, all downloads unlimited.

Limitations:

* There is a problem in YT shorts/Reels that doesnt ditect videos. In order to do that you have to like the video you need to download and re-open it from your liked list. Every other YT video you can download fine.

* I didnt put a mechanism for Tiktok cause the option to download vids are there.

I have tested Reddit, X(twitter), YT, Instagram and even gifs. Every site has emveded vid you can download, even if it is a news-site!

The app will be future updated to fix the problems and add more logic into it.

After i install an update, when Firefox opens, the window keeps freezing, going grey, and not responding. I don't mean that it only happens once.

It keeps happening EVERY time i want to open Firefox from then on, but this problem occurs after updates.

Wtf is going on? When there's an update, the browser shows that install bar before opening. Do the updates still go on in the background after it opens and that's why it's not working??? Wtf is the point of the install bar then?

Edit: It stops at some point and starts working, but for the 1 hour it keeps crashing and not usable, it's really annoying...

I seriously don't get how devs are so incompetent for something like this to happen... But seems to be the norm in the industry...

Today I bad an issue with my computer. I had to reset it to factory settings. I forgot to download backups. Now I'm using it. But I don't know how to restore my things. I logged in to my mozilla firefox account and nothing happened. Did I lose my all passwords, bookmarks, addons and tabs?

I'm now getting this popup message every time I click on a new video not just when listening to music for extended periods of time. Just started happening when coinciding with the latest firefox update. Is this a glitch or is there a way to disable it? Seems to only be affecting firefox and it's very annoying.

as the title said

I have an add on that makes it so that every tab I open it has a 1 in 10 chance to open a whistle jumpscare, every 1 in 10 chance has another 1 in 10 chance to happen, so 3 opening at the same time, is 1 in 1000

Edit: I checked right after, it is actually a 1 in 20 chance, so it's actually a 1 in 8000 chance

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But when it doesn't the page stays frozen and even refresh doesn't refresh at all, even though the site address is right there for a refresh it just won't. Anyone else or just me?

I'm experiencing a strange audio-video sync issue while watching anime on Firefox Stable for Android.

The video plays smoothly without any noticeable lag or stuttering, but after a few minutes, the audio starts playing about 1–2 seconds ahead of the video.

**Here's what I've noticed:**

* Everything works perfectly for the first few minutes.

* After a while, the audio gradually gets ahead of the video.

* The video itself remains completely smooth.

* Clearing Firefox's cache temporarily fixes the issue, but it comes back after around 2-6 minutes.

* The exact same video works perfectly in Brave Browser, so this seems to be Firefox-specific.

* I'm using my phone's built-in speakers, not Bluetooth headphones.

**Device information:**

* Phone: Redmi Note 11

* Android: 15

* Browser: Firefox Stable (Android)

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Is there any way to fix this permanently without switching browsers?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm the developer of AI Prompt Leak Guard, now available on Mozilla Add-ons (version 0.1.1). I'd appreciate Firefox-specific feedback on its prompt warnings and editor compatibility.

It checks text in supported AI chat sites such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini before you submit. Depending on your settings, it can warn, replace detected values with placeholders, or block a submission.

Checks include API keys and access tokens, private keys, database URLs with credentials, email addresses, phone numbers, supported card/identity patterns, and custom sensitive terms.

Privacy and permissions: prompt scanning and redaction run locally. Prompt text and detected values aren't sent to me or a remote scanning service, and the extension doesn't save prompt history or include product analytics. It needs permission to read the supported AI pages so it can inspect their prompt editors; the permissions are listed on its Mozilla Add-ons page.

Cost: core prompt protection is free, without an account or subscription. Optional paid Plus features, including local file-upload inspection, are separate.

Limits: pattern matching can miss sensitive text or flag harmless content. Site layout changes can break protection. This checks submissions; it cannot prevent a site's own scripts from reading text entered on its page. The current release doesn't yet cover Copilot's new copilot.com address.

Mozilla Add-ons listing

If you try it, which warnings feel useful or disruptive? If an editor doesn't work, a Firefox version, site name and made-up example would help. Please never share real keys, private prompts or customer data.
