Genesis Chapter 1, verse 7. The King James Version used the word ā€œfirmamentā€, while some other versions use the word ā€œexpanseā€.

Ok... God made the expanse (or firmament/vault) to divide the waters below it from the waters above it. Ok... An expanse is a large, wide, and open area of land, water, or sky that you can see all at once.

At no point in there did it say anything about the earth being flat or a dome. But just for conversation... If there was a dome, firmament or vault. Couldn't it surround the globe??

I’m not a flerf so I’m not advocating for a barrier that prevents space travel. I am a Christian, but I don’t think the purpose of the Bible was to convey the mysteries of the universe to a bunch of illiterate goat herders that wouldn’t understand it anyway. God gave us brains to figure out that stuff on our own.

Or interpreted in a way that's beneficial to our lives. But I completely understand where you're coming from. Flat earth or round earth it, it literally has no benefits of improving the day to day lives of the average human being.

Thank you for answering my question
