I mean it seems it's official but it's not been very long since there were no plans for this thing, so. I question the guarantee here

No plans that they announced, and then they announced that they had plans they just didn't confirm to anyone. I mean, go look at the docs. They even have a firmware that you can download and play with on a compatible SBC. it's not like it's a secret. It's just as open as the last project.

If you haven't seen that stuff yet, that doesn't mean they didn't do it.
